First, let me say that this is just as inspired and professional as any similar acoustic music item you would find on the more commonly known shopping sites. The lyrics and tunes cover a broad musical landscape (you can shag to the first song, something perhaps the band didn't intend). The singing is superb and hearfelt, the fiddle player wrings great emotion from his instrument, the "walking" bass lines and measured percussion from the rhythm section -- it's all very listenable and enjoyable. Try it!!(see my various music reviews on amazon under the name "collegemoney")

Bio
Stevens Mill has entertained a wide-variety of fans, both young and old, at hundreds of live performances in the Southeast region over the past several years.
The band's leader, veteran singer/songwriter and ex-rocker Rob Webster, has focused on his acoustic side over the past decade. His unique syncopations and signature licks have built a strong following in the Charlotte area. In 2005 Webster pulled together top local musicians including Master Fiddler Glen Alexander, Percussionist Bill Loelius, and Bassist, Bob Blichmann, to form Stevens Mill. One might say that Stevens Mill has not been so much about evolution but rather devolution.
The devolution has continued as the band has focused on all acoustic instrumentation augmented by occasional electronic percussion to create a truly unique and memorable listening experience.
In short, strong songs with mind-bending instrumentals make for a great show. Stevens Mill has both and will keep you wanting more!
