Steven Thomas

Award-winning songwriter & musician Steven Thomas grew up just north of Boston. With a mother who was a pianist and music teacher, and a sister who was a classically trained pianist, he was surrounded by music from a young age. He would listen to his sister and his mothers students playing the piano and would later replay the songs he had heard by ear. At age 8, Steven first picked up the saxophone. It was through the saxophone that he developed a love for jazz and learned to improvise and write music. He continued to develop his musical competence writing songs and lyrics with piano accompaniment. At age 11, Steven began to teach himself the bass guitar and shortly after the electric guitar. Steven also earned the opportunity to sing in the Northeast District Chorus. As his musical skills developed, he started writing music for the piano, guitar, and voice and began arranging and producing music in a variety of genres. Steven remains surrounded by music, working on various songwriting and recording projects. He is currently working on a new album, as well as writing and producing music for a variety of media.
