In 2006, he was a finalist for Nashville Star and appeared live at Coyote's Nightclub located in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Regional Finals.
In the year 2000, he performed at the Little Nashville Opry Show located in Nashville, Indiana. He also placed 2nd at The Lincoln Jamboree Talent Show in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He placed 3rd in the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown in Nashville, Tennesee.
In 1999 he placed 2nd on the Fiddlers Jamboree in Smithville, Tennessee.
Steven appeared at the Bluebird in Nashville, Tennessee in 1996. The performance was broadcast over the internet via webcast.
He was asked to perform on the TNT T.V Show in 1995 on the Charlie Daniels Talent Round Up and was picked from over 200,000 entries to submit his audition video and was selected to appear on the show.
