""Blues Head" Album Review"

"A rhythmically tight cross section of modern electric blues, Southern acoustic material and funk-inflected R&B numbers... The band is superb... Pierson demonstrates serious vocal talent; his aptitude for phrasing and tone belie his young age... Juber's contributions are substantial (with) great dynamics and passionately articulated guitar passages... Steve Pierson is a name you'll hear more of in the future."

"Blues Head reveals Pierson as a songwriter able to weave blues elements into rock tunes and folky ballads as well as tackle the genre head-on. Pierson might be a slide guitar pro, as evidenced by Blues Head's standout track, the haunting "Cold in My Bed," but "Bad Condition" finds the player in fine funk-blues form." - Blues Revue Magazine
