Steve Rhodes

Steve Rhodes was born near Vienna, Austria and currently lives in London. His big love in life is music. After getting a degree in mechanical engineering, he landed a record contract with CBS where he enjoyed a career with many television and radio appearances. He writes all of his songs, and plays many different instruments. For a few years he lived in a secluded part of Ibiza where he composed most of the songs on his EP ‘Sweet Pretender’. His personal North London studio, Alpha Centauri Recording, became popular with artists such as La Roux, U2, Depeche Mode, Richard Ashcroft (The Verve), Cat Stevens, The Sugababes, M.I.A., The X-Factor, Damien Hirst, Kanye West, and The Tamper Trap. It’s based at the former Battery Studios where Robbie Williams recorded his first big hit ‘Angels’ that established him as a major star. In 2011, Steve began to write his book about Ra Uru Hu. Both, the book and the new EP, have been released on October 1, 2012.
