Steve Steele

Steve Steele is the consummate singer, songwriter and musician. His knack for writing potent, yet melodic rock songs with a soulful edge has lead him to being one of Houston¹s main attractions. After spending time studying music composition and theory at the prestigious University of North Texas' music program, Steele initially wanted to be a studio musician. He soon felt that songwriting and performing were more to his liking and quickly realized early on that his obsession was to be an entertainer. In 2002, he released his debut CD InfraRed IntroSpective, an album of material written, performed and produced by Steele that showcases not only his contemplative lyrical subjects but displays a tour de force of pure musicianship.

After the release, Steele teamed up with a group of musicians who had the same musical and career desires. As a band they started doing shows around Houston in small venues and coffeehouses. As Steele built up the performances the audiences grew. And in the presence of many, Steele wowed his audience at Houston's notorious Engine Room and hence a star is born.

Currently in 2004, Steele has signed with Hard Edge Entertainment and playing “well received” shows in the Texas area. Recently he was named "indie" artist of the year" by HighVolumeMusic.com in which its been quoted "Steve worked his ass off this year making a name for himself in the Houston market. Steve went from coffee house
performances to headlining The Engine Room at the close of the year. Steve put up and didn¹t shut up. Look for Steve to be real noisy this year."
