Bio

Steve Sullivan was born on the river banks of a small rail road town in New Mexico. Immediately intrigued and inspired by music, 4 year old Sullivan had greased, Elvis Presley style hair and cut all of the sleeves off his T shirts to embody the tough masculinity he saw in Elvis. By age 5, Sullivan knew every word of every Elvis Presley song and did frequent concerts. After picking up the guitar at age 12, Steve immediately began writing songs and started on a 15 year journey of writing songs, recording and performing. By 14, Steve owned and operated his own recording studio in his parents home and performed regularly in town and at school. By 15 Sullivan was a fixture of the Albuquerque singer/songwriter and was voted "Songwriter of the year" at the Outpost at just 16 years old. Steve was nominated at the New Mexico Music Industry awards for "Best Male Vocal" for his song, "Angel." Always restless, Steve ended up moving to Utah and started a group with a rotating cast of musicians called "Steve Sullivan & The Six Shooters". The Six Shooters played just about every venue in Utah, including the State Capitol, The Hard Rock Cafe, and The Hogs Wallow Pub. In September of 2008 Sullivan moved north to Minnesota in search of his musical dreams. It was here he met his current band mates, jazz/rock drummer Chris Orcutt and James-Jamerson-incarnate bassist Mike Brown. Together for just over a year, the boys have played all over the twin cities and Minnesota. Currently Steve Sullivan is wrapping up a band album with The Factory and pursuing a Bachelors of Science of Music at McNally Smith College of Music in St Paul.
