Biography

Steve Waylon grew up in a small village in central New Brunswick, Canada called Chipman. He presents a fresh sound in today's Country music with his "Driven Country" music style. Known to some as the "Wild One" of the east coast music scene, he seems to stop at nothing when it comes to making his audience part of the show. Steve's music style is comparable to the likes of Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and he offers a very high energy show in all his performances.
Steve's music career started when he played drums and sang harmonies on stage for his Dad at the age of 15. He remembers the excitement of looking out into the crowd of 150 people, but to him it felt like 150,000. Watching the crowd and their reactions, "I was hooked" he says . Shortly after this he started a band with some friends and began his own musical journey.
Traveling across the country and extensively throughout eastern Canada, Steve has quickly earned himself recognition as one of Canada's hard working Country artists. Steve's music has also been received very well in Switzerland where he travels to do Shows a couple times a year. He continues to work new venues there and looks forward to expanding his music to more European Countries. To date Steve has done shows with such acts as Doc Walker, Emerson Drive, Lorrie Morgan, Sammy Kershaw, Jim Witter, Matt Minglewood, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, to name a few.
Steve always finds time to give back to the community by supporting such charities as Brush of Hope (Kidney Foundation), IWK Hospital Telethon on CTV, and many more.
With an unmatched stage presence and persona, his personality and love of people are very evident in his stage performances and in his song writing. Steve Waylon is working on bringing his brand of music to the world by live performances, videos and recordings so keep an eye out for him and come out to be part the show.

Big Train

Written By: Steve Waylon / Danny Paradis

BIG TRAIN

BIG TRAIN WON'T YA KEEP ON ROLLIN
BIG TRAIN ROLL DOWN THE TRACK
CAUSE YOU KNOW MY BABY IS WAITIN
SO BIG TRAIN WON'T YA CARRY ME BACK

I'VE BEEN WORKIN IN THAT WESTERN OIL FIELD
I'M GONNA LEAVE THOSE LONELY PRAIRIES FAR BEHIND
KAPUSKASING'S IN THE REAR THEN IT'S OFF TO MONTREAL
BY TOMORROW I'LL BE IN THOSE MARITIMES

(chours)

MY BABY COMES FROM A RAILROAD TOWN
WHERE SHE'S WAITIN WITH HER ARMS OUT THERES NO DOUBT
SO KEEP ER WIDE OPEN TILL IT'S TIME TO THROTTLE DOWN
WHEN YA SEE THAT JUNCTION SIGN, DRIVER LET ME OUT

(chours)

SOME FOLKS SAY I'VE BEEN GONE TO LONG
SOME SHE'S REALLY DONE ME WRONG
WALKED THROUGH THAT DOOR AND SAW THAT NOTE "DEAR JOHN"
NOW WHEN THAT TRAIN COMES BACK LORD I'LL BE GONE

(END chours)
BIG TRAIN WON'T YA KEEP ON ROLLIN
BIG TRAIN TAKE ME DOWN THE TRACK
CAUSE YOU KNOW MY BABY 'S DONE ME WRONG HERE
SO BIG TRAIN PLEASE CARRY ME BACK

HOME SWEET HOME

Written By: STEVE WAYLON/RYLEE MADISON

I MIGHT FLY OVER THE OCEAN MAYBE SAIL OUT ON THE SEA
TAKE A TRIP ACCROSS THE COUNTRY WHERE MY MUSIC CARRIES ME
MEET SOME PEOPLE SWEET AND HONEST AND FALL IN LOVE WITH ALL THEY OWN
BUT MY HEART WON'T ROAM FROM MY HOME SWEET HOME

I GOT THAT CUP OF SUGAR NEIGHBOUR WHO JUST LOVES TO HANG AROUND
THAT CAFE ON THE CORNER BREWIN GOSSIP IN THIS TOWN
BUT GRANDMA SERVIN BAKE BEANS AND HER HOME MADE APPLE PIE
THATS WHY MY HEART WON'T ROAM FROM MY HOME SWEET ...

HOME... MY ROOTS AND MY SECURITY WHERE I'M FREE TO BE ME
HOME... NOT JUST WHERE I HANG MY HAT AT IT'S WHERE MY HEART BELONGS
AND TUCKIN IN MY LITTLE GIRL REALLY MAKES MY
HOME SWEET HOME

I MET A BEGGER ON THE SIDEWALK STANDIN IN THE RAIN
SO I EMPTIED OUT MY POCKETS AND ASKED THE MAN HIS NAME
HE SAID SON I DON'T REMEMBER I'VE BEEN LOST OUT HERE SO LONG
JUST SEARCHIN FOR MY HOME SWEET ...

HOME... MY ROOTS AND MY SECURITY WHERE I'M FREE TO BE ME
HOME... NOT JUST WHERE I HANG MY HAT AT IT'S WHERE MY HEART BELONGS
AND TUCKIN IN MY LITTLE GIRL REALLY MAKES MY
HOME SWEET HOME

BRIDGE

GO ON OUT AND SEE THE WORLD
BUT DON'T YOU FORGET HOME.....

HOME... MY ROOTS AND MY SECURITY WHERE I'M FREE TO BE ME
HOME... NOT JUST WHERE I HANG MY HAT AT IT'S WHERE MY HEART BELONGS
AND TUCKIN IN MY LITTLE GIRL REALLY MAKES MY WORLD
MY HOME SWEET HOME
