Bio

Stevie Ray Moseley has been playing along the southern region for allmost 12 years. He started out playing delta blues and Jimi Hendrix. He started jamming at coffee houses and getting tight with the Florida metal scene. His first band was called Ingawdzire, which featured Stevie and some fellow friends he meet at Staffs Resturant.A hole in the wall bar they used to jam with Johnny Z and Darwin T, thats whare he developed his first chops playing Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, and Bob Dylan songs. That was his first paid gig at Docies Dock. Also a well known local musician there was Washboard Jackson and Elvis Presley's old bass player Duke Bardwell had a band with awesome talent called Hubba Hubba.
At the same time he was hanging out with the local metal crowd with bands called 8 up, Drugen Horde, Terror Fist, Acid Bath, Parrabellum, and Left Hand Black. He got to see so much music in that scene from people like Mastadon to Drive by Truckers.
Still playing the blues he sat in with the opening band for Bo Diddly and got to hang out with Chubby Carrier and got to meet Bo himself.
At that time he started to develope his playing a little more and he took a seminar from 80s shredder Yngwie Malmsteen at the National Guitar Workshop.Along players he got to learn from were James Hogan, Dave Martone, Jody Fisher, Joel Gregwire, and more.He started shredding like everyday for hours on end for like a year pretty much.He used to sit on the couch playing guitar until the morning came up then hed go to bed and sleep with his guitar.
After that phase ran its course he really got in touch with his Allman Brothers...And pretty much every band that came with them.It was live at the Beacon Theater with Derek Trucks that made him pick back up that Delta Slide and TOTALLY got connected with Duane Allman.Just used to jam all the time to some Allman Brother it became his life for a while. Then by the skin on his back, he took a trip up to Macon Georgia. He called Paul Hornsby and asked if he come sit in, and they hit if off and Paul Hornsby let Stevie record a demo for free and got to talk to Alan Walden and got to check out Rose Hill cemetary whare Duane and Barry Oakley are buried and Eat at the H&H resturant while also playings gigs at 550 blues club and The Hummingbird stage and Taproom. Then it was time to come home...
After a little word spread, he got this church gig which lead him on to play on the "Chitlin Circut" with David Brinston .Playing shows with Willie Clayton and Mel Waiters and playing all over the south in Civic Centers and Trailers. That probally lasted about 8 months then it was just the end of it.
After this tip from somebody he went and checked out this open mic night with this sorta jam band playing Allman-isk music but funky he jammed that night and then they started this expirimental band called Space Medicine. They played just about everywhare they could along the gulf coast and eventually they were playing huge festivals and packing in big crowds. But then they had a early death to the band when the bass player decided to move to Atlanta.
Frusterated but not willing to give up Stevie and one of the Space Drummers threw a quick band together and started playing shows trying not to loose momentum. They played festivals and got to do some cool work and even put out a album that is sold on Itunes and produced by Paul Hornsby. But then the drummer left the band, then he got a new drummer, then he got a new bass and drummer, change drummer again, then got a new bass player and did all that for about a 2 years making good money. And now hes still not giving up the faith of music and allways pushing the limit...
