Stevie Renner Artist Bio:
Originally from San Diego, California - Stevie started playing with the first "Stevie Renner Group"
in 1969 at parties around the beach. In 1976, Stevie hit the road playing nightclubs all across the
southern US. " The Chitlin Circuit"
In the early 80's Stevie setteled in Minneapolis, and became a local guitar legend. Stevie was well known and regarded as one of Minneapolis' #1 Rock Guitarists. Stevie retired from live performing in 1990.
Today, Stevie has come out of retirement with a new group, "Stevie Renner and the Renegades".
The format is high-energy "blues rock" - a sound all his own.
Self taught, Stevie does not read music, he plays by ear. Stevie grew up listening to the sounds of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Carlos Santana, Duane Allman, and Johnny Winter. Stevie also credits the Blues Masters for their influences, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, the "Kings" Freddie , Albert and BB, Buddy Guy, as wells as contemporary artists, Carl Weathersby, Jimmy Thackery, Percy Struther, and the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughn.
"Now at 50 years old, I consider myself an Artist. My guitars, amps as well as the other instruments in my group are like my canvas, paints, and brushes, and I create sound pictures".
