Bio

When twins Justin and Johnny were 14 years old their lives were turned upside down when their father, seminal guitarist Tony Santoro, died. The years to come were turbulent; the boys moved to a new neighborhood and consequently found themselves in the middle of fights, being the outsiders.

After a downward spiral the twins realized that they had only each other to depend on and a basement full of their father's guitars. They taught themselves how to play and later found their purpose in music. The brothers began writing songs and playing with other musicians in order to create the right combination for a band.

Finally, in 1998 drummer Alex Z. stepped in and Still Standing was formed. The band has developed a strong fan base by playing any gig that they possibly could. They’re growing it the old fashioned way, one delirious teenager at a time.

The band found themselves at the center of a growing punk rock scene in Philadelphia. After establishing a strong fan base and creating a buzz they finished a showcase for a friend at Sony Records and had the opportunity to make their way to Los Angeles to record with Producer Tommy Henriksen (Clear Static, Balay, Mighty Six Ninety).

After completing their EP of six songs, they met Song Writer/Producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue) and began recording their full length record. While finishing their recording the band decided to make an addition to Still Standing. Lonny Paul was introduced and became the band's second guitarist.

The band channels their passion into music to create indestructible songs. The name Still Standing represents the hardship and good fortune that takes course in this band's life.
