STILLVOICE

BandRockMetal

In a time when everyone is alternative and rock bands are a dime a dozen comes STILLVOICE. STILLVOICE is breath of fresh air in an industry full of stale creativity and predictable songwriting. STILLVOICE endeavors to constantly push the sonic boundaries of what is expected of hard rock bands.

Biography

Formed in July 05, STILLVOICE was originally founded after being asked to play at a youth gathering. There was not incredible excitement made of this first opportunity to play, however, during the preparation for that initial show the chemistry was undeniable and immediately more shows lined up. What they have produced thus far however has turned out to be broader, more diverse and more powerful than any of the members could have expected. With Sarah and Brandon Shewbert taking the responsibility of the backing and lead vocals respectively, the band was already beginning to separate itself from stereotypical rock bands. Mix in Sarahs love for classical piano and Brandons love of metal/hardcore/ambient guitar tones and the group stepped even farther away from common aural experiences. Adding Jim Dixon on guitar gave an even more volatile complement to the already complex melodic elements. Eric Olson completed the already eclectic sound with an impeccable feel for timing, rhythm and an innate ability to create a mood or atmosphere through his powerful drumming. STILLVOICE continues to write new music constantly and is always attempting to sharpen their songwriting abilities with each new idea. They endeavor to be as creative and original as possible with every new song while keeping Christ as the reason for their inspired efforts. They also are gaining lots of experience playing live all over Oregon and Washington. If you are looking for a fresh, powerful, eclectic night of spirit filled music STILLVOICE wouldnt be a bad bet.
