"Rockers do the hard yards."

Perth knows how to breed rock bands. We've been doing it for a while and in
three short years rock quartet Stone Circle have proved the tradition is in good hands.
Thet have played dozens of shows leading fans to think they have been around much longer.
They also gained plenty of publicity for playing on the back of a truck in an effort to win a spot opening for Bon Jovi last year as part of a radio competition. While they came second and didn't get the gig, it certainly got the band's name about, as did their sets at a number of celebrity after parties.
"We're a hardworking band," singer Jeremy Harris says. "We're always looking for opportunities and work hard at promoting ourselves when we see them. At that point, you have two choices - move on or see it as a real possibility to suit what you are
trying to achieve.
"We don't want to be perceived as just a-local band. We want to be a band which is capable of playing a small acoustic show through to a big stadium."
Stone Circle are all about melodic rock and find inspiration from the rock attitude, mentality and approach of artists like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen,
Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and U2. Three nights a week of rehearsals have tuned them into a tight and entertaining live band and on stage Stone Circle clearly look like they have a great time.
Consistent players on the local live scene, Stone Circle will mix local gigs as well as slots on festival bills, such as the local hard rock extravaganza Fire in the Hole, before the end of the year. They have also been invited to tour Singapore.
This year the band released Living for the Sunshine, an album which was recorded locally and mastered by Leon Zervos at Sydney's 3O1 Studios.
"For us it's about getting out there and playing professional shows," Harris says, "and giving our supporters something different every time we walk out on stage".
Living for the Sunshine is out now through I Tunes and their website (www.stonecircleband.com.au).

"STONE CIRCLE ALBUM LAUNCH - 19th March 2011"

STONE CIRCLE spared no expense making sure the launch of their second album “Living For The Sunshine” was more than just a gig – with a VIP pre-party for those who had pre-ordered the album (not to mention some lucky media types like The Rockpit), concert quality lighting and a few surprises, this was an EVENT, and their performance would reflect that.

When the lights went down it was all about STONE CIRCLE – this was their night and they took full advantage of every minute of it, with lights a-flashing, pristine sound, a few flashbombs, all the bells and whistles you could ask for and the sort of stage presence usually only seen in far bigger venues by far more experienced acts.

All the normal Stone Circle traits were showcased – classy & mature songwriting, incredibly tight rhythm section in Craig Skelton and Derrin Kee, stunning Van Halenesque fret abuse from Scott Howe, the best harmonies this side of Bon Jovi, and of course lead singer “Harry” Harris’s super-strength vocals and magnetic stagework.

While some punters have in the past poked fun at lead singer Harry’s tendency to “overact” on smaller stages and to smaller crowds, tonight his projection makes absolute sense in a full room of this size with quality sound and lights – this gig could almost be seen as the culmination of all their gigs to date: EVERYTHING gelled and the show became more than the sum of it’s parts.

Every song off new album “Living For The Sunshine” was played, with ‘On My Own’ showcasing Skelton’s dab hand on jazz piano, a magnificent ‘Gero Love Song’, and by the time the title track was played as a final, emotional, encore, everybody present not only sung along to practically every word, but went home knowing they had all been a part of something very special.

Footnote by Mark Diggins:

As far as local shows go this one will take some beating. It's not often that in Perth you get to see a world class event put on by a local act and this really set the standard for what hopefully we will see others attempting to better! As a band you couldn't hope to meet a better bunch of guys than Stone Circle, it's cool to see them interact tonight - being totally approachable and attentive to their fans. As musicians they excell and put on a great show: Harry and the guys have found the perfect stage for their show tonight. Seeing a production like this with all the attention to detail and some great marketing really takes things to another level and shows that these guys are capable of delivering the goods on a level that few others can.

It was a pleasure to get up on stage at the end with my co-photographers and shoot this. It was great to see the press there see some familiar faces in the crowd.... I've not had as much fun behind the camera for a log time and the band intereacted with us and the audience beautifully. Hat's off to Harry, Craig, Scott and Derrin. The Perth rock scene is looking mighty healthy! - The RockPit Magazine - Shane Pinnegar & Mark Diggins

On 1st May, 2011, Sir Bob Geldof will be joined by Jon Stevens (Noiseworks, INXS), Danielle Spencer & others for a one-off show in Sydney at the Lyric Theatre, Star City Casino. All monies raised through ticket sales and donations will help support the Australian Red Cross for their Victoria Floods Appeal, New Zealand Earthquake Appeal and Japan and Pacific Disaster Appeal as well as the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Fund to provide hope and inspiration to communities affected by recent natural disasters in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Perth band STONE CIRCLE, fresh from glowing reviews for the recent launch of their second album “Living For The Sunshine” have been personally invited by Sir Bob Geldof’s management to perform at the exclusive after party of the charity event ‘Rock and Rebuild’ on Sunday 1st May, 2011, to be held at the Star City Casino in Sydney NSW. This after party event will see Stone Circle perform in the casino’s newest bar “Rock Lily” to a guest list of Bob’s personal friends and music industry colleagues.

In mid January 2011 Sir Bob’s Manager Mark Cowne was given an advance copy of the new Stone Circle album “Living for the Sunshine”. More requests from the UK for copies of the album materialised through February and March 2011 and in early March STONE CIRCLE received a phone call informing them of Bob’s intentions to put on a charity gig to benefit those affected by the Queensland Floods, and New Zealand and Japanese earthquakes. STONE CIRCLE were asked to be part of the official after party as confirmation of the gig with major sponsors ANZ and Star City Casino was received.

"Stone Circle - "Living for the Sunshine" Album launch 19th March 2011"

STONE CIRCLE’s second album ‘Living For Sunshine’ had been a long time in the making. So nothing less than a big celebration was required to celebrate its introduction to the world. But few of the punters who turned up expected the Civic Hotel to look like it did for the launch. There were sunflowers everywhere, food being served and the PA was pumping out the 80's metal. Quite simply, Stone Circle don’t do things by halves......
At 10.20pm the lights dimmed and Stone Circle hit the stage. The pyro went off and the band dived into ‘Tied To Stone’. Frontman Jeremy “Harry” Harris was floored by the applause he and his merry men were receiving. ‘You’, ‘Transparent’ and ‘Take Your Chances’ all went down well, with brilliant guitar work from Scott Howe. ‘Speed Racer’ was another highlight, with Howe and bassist/keyboardist Craig Skelton going straight for the jugular, with drummer Derrin Kee keeping time like the atomic clock. ‘Ramblin’ Man’showed off Skelton’s excellent keyboard work, including a keyboard solo and more guitar freakouts from Howe. ‘Don’t Look Back’ had more keyboard work, while the debut performance of ‘Epic’ featured Howe playing a double-necked guitar. After a pyro blast the band ran offstage to catch a breather but the fans wanted Stone Circle and they wanted them bad. The epic ‘Gero Love Song’ would be a hit in a perfect world, with a chorus to die for. Harris was singing like a man possessed on this one. Another possible hit was the beautiful ballad ‘Lost’, and the band finished off with ‘Living For The Sunshine’, meaning the whole album was played. The pyro went into overdrive and after that it was all over.
This was a gig that will be talked about for years by everyone who saw it, such was the quality of the performances by each musician and the songs performed. If you like your rock hard and don’t like Stone Circle, there’s something wrong with you. - Spaceship News - Chris Martin

"Launch Pad - Live & Local"

Launch Pad
STONE CIRCLE

Give a brief rundown of the history of your band from day to now: After a long and arduous labour, Stone Circle came kicking and screaming into the world in July 2008. Our first steps included playing the Def Leppard After Party with The Galvatrons in Oct 08. We spent much of 09 focussed on writing and preproduction for the new album. The first half of 2010 was spent recording. Since then we’ve made gigging our priority. In late 2010 we came second out of 170+ bands in a comp to support Bon Jovi, and represented WA in the Australasian final of the Global Battle of the Bands. Right now our priority is staging one seriously kick arse album launch.

Tell us about your release: ‘Living for the Sunshine’. It’s a full length album, 11 tracks, nearly 60 mins all up. Available from 21 March 2011 on iTunes, through our website, 78‘s, Mills, Dada’s and all good independent record stores.

How did you go about recording it? We laid down all the drum, bass and guitar tracks in the first two weeks of Feb 2010. Piano, keys, strings and vocals went down over the next six months. The whole album was recorded, engineered, mixed and produced here at Crank Recordings in Northbridge and then mastered by Leon Zervos at Studios 301 in Sydney.

Tell us about your launch party: Saturday 19 March 2011 at the Civic Hotel in Inglewood. Diamond Eye will kick off the night in a rare acoustic format, followed by The Chris Gibbs Trio. We’ll hit the stage playing the new album in it’s entirety and then some. Pre sale tickets available now through www.stonecircleband.com.au or grab them at the door for $15. Doors open 8pm.

What’s next for your band? In support of the new album, we’ll be doing a heap of touring and promoting here in the west, on the east coast and overseas. We’re actively seeking new management and distribution, and aim to be back into the studio next year. Our jams are producing some really interesting new material so stay tuned.

"INTERVIEW: STONE CIRCLE LEAD SINGER “HARRY” HARRIS"

I caught up with Stone Circle just before their album launch to find out what was happening in their camp. In recent months Stone Circle have been building up to their big album launch, playing a lot of gigs far and wide. I started by asking Harry how the band was performing as a unit.

Harry: The band is really plugging itself man, I think we took the time to get it right in rehearsals, we took the time to really work on sounds, as a live unit, I think to be honest as a live performance we really have gone the next step up into a live show, and now we are really focusing on putting on a concert rather than just coming to a gig, cause to me, no disrespect to any other band out there but, anyone who can play music can put on a gig, but there’s a difference between going to do a gig and playing a show! So how’s the band? The band’s fucking TIGHT! The band is tight socially, the band is tight from a friendship point of view, and musically I think we are really starting to get out straps.

Harry goes on to explain the format Stone Circle decided on for their album launch – ambitious to say the least for a Perth band. For starters, I ask Harry to explain the pre-party…

Harry: Yeah man, we pre sold a hundred CD’s and we capped [pre-sales] at the hundred. We’re still getting asked, you know, we are still getting emails and requests to buy it, but we capped it at a hundred. So we are going to have the pre-launch between 7 and 8 and then basically the live music will start at 8 and it’s all gonna be at the Civic and yeah, I think it’s gonna be exciting.

What about plans to tour the album? I know Harry has toured The United States in the past, but what about over East, and International in 2011?

Harry: I think we are going to hold off on the international side of things at the present stage, just because the market’s not there for us yet. The great thing about this band is we don’t do anything that we don’t want to do, but we don’t do anything without thinking it through, which makes a big change from some of the bands I’ve been with in the past. But yes, there are some tours up north and down south and here locally and we are gonna push out locally for I would say from the launch through til roughly about winter time and in winter time we will actually head over to the East Coast because I don’t know why but the East Coast seems to liven up in winter…

Are there any plans for a Stone Circle live album now that they have two studio albums under their belt?

Harry: Not really, not at the moment, I mean we’ve got, this is our second LP, you know like, Long Player for the uneducated - for the youngsters out there (laughs). The LP, what we do have plans for is we are going to release a limited vinyl edition of this album. Old school.

Does this mean we could soon hear DJ’s scratching Stone Circle up, wiggywoo style?

Harry: Yeah well, we have been listening to a lot of old record stuff lately and like I was over at Scotty’s the other day and he had The Darkness on, on the LP, like he was just playing old vinyl and it sounds so sweet so we’re gonna be looking at releasing a small limited amount of that, you know. From a live point of view I think we are going to let our live shows do the talking and then, you know, you get the opportunity to take the recorded stuff home. You want it live, if you wanna kick it, if you want it balls to the wall in your face - get off the couch!

Absolutely, and at The Rockpit we couldn’t agree more! And the moniker “Harry”? Well it turns out there’s a darker story to it than just some mates bestowing a nickname upon him.

Harry: Seriously, stalkers! I got some crazy random shit going on and I just went ok, if I keep “Harry” for my band life, and [my Christian name] for my private life then no one fucks me around, but now you are gonna write that shit up aren’t you and it will be all over!

Of course not Harry – we’re not like that!

Harry: It’s actually really true though, because when I toured the States, we actually did get a stalker we were on the West Coast and she was in Florida, she came up to Seattle and then she basically followed us the entire way down to LA and back again, and it got a point where our tour manager at the time, who was actually female, and [the stalker] was going up to [our tour manager] and saying “Get your fucking hands off my man, he is my boyfriend, we have been going out for years”, and she’s just like “Whoa sweetheart, you?”, and I would open up the hotel door and find gifts…

SP: Only in America, eh? Gotta love the psychos.

Harry: So that’s where “Harry” came from. Obviously I had my nickname in the Army, but that’s where ‘Harry’ I really needed to start doing this.

One thing that has helped get Stone Circle noticed around town has been their involvment in charity events, such as Channel 7’s Telethon, and so on. I asked Harry if the band use these as a publicity opportunity?

Harry: [They’re a] Labour of love!!! (laughs). I would hate for anyone - and I know this is serious - I would hate anyone to accuse myself, or Stone Circle, or any of the band members as a whole of doing this for publicity, you know. There are plenty of ways to get publicity, but I don’t feel that doing charity events is the way to get publicity. If you want publicity, get out and meet the fucking street, get the marketing happening, get your posters out there, talk to people, get people excited about it. When you’re going to a charity gig it’s because there’s someone out there who needs more help and more of an opportunity than you do. And you can see, I mean what I say, I got fucking goosebumps right now. When you do a charity gig, you do it for the right reasons, not so you get your face on the TV or a magazine or get a bit of radio play - fuck that, if that’s your whole idea you are not going to make it in this industry.

Speaking of publicity, Stone Circle put a lot of effort in late 2010 into a radio competition to win a support slot for Bon Jovi when they played in Perth. Along the way they pulled such “stunts” as playing on a flatbed truck outside of the radio station’s offices, and it paid off, with them getting all the way through to the final playoff, though when the bell sounded they didn’t win the prize. I offered my congratulations to Harry again on the achievement…

Harry: Thank you for bringing up painful memories (laughs).

SP: No no (laughs) we thought the whole competition was rigged, remember I wrote this on your Facebook page at the time, but I thought you getting through to the final was a very, very positive thing, because you play a style of music which isn’t popular on the radio (certainly not on the station running the competition!), yet you made them fucking listen to you…

Harry: Yeah… See now THAT’S a publicity stunt right fucking there! (referring to playing on the flatbed truck)

SP: Absolutely, very much. Or at least talking about a bit of a publicity opportunity.

Harry: Well yeah, it was what it was, we copped a lot of bagging from certain individuals, we copped a lot of good publicity out of that, the bottom line is we stepped up in the only way we knew how which was basically make a fucking noise, let people make their own decisions, and let the music speak for itself, and for us, runners up, yeah look, I’ll umm, no ones going to bullshit here and say we weren’t cut that we didn’t win it.

SP: I think that a lot of people were cut that you didn’t win it, but the band that did win it, no disrespect to them, but they’re more of a “media darlings” band, in the “what’s cool in Perth” sort of way...

Harry: Sure, oh look I know the guys from the band that won it, all nice, nice guys and you know, I’ve got a lot of time for them, they went off, they did their show, they did their thing… and we went to the concert anyway and I think that’s a testament to us as a band that, you know, we played the Mix Rooftop gig that morning we didn’t win, we were dejected, we were sorry for ourselves, and that afternoon, we walked in, loaded in, and did a sound check and then went and supported The Poor that night, and kicked ass at that gig, and took names and made fans.

Harry: That’s a testament to these boys cause you know, they were hurting, I was hurting, but at the end of the day, testament to our fans too, no one bagged the shit out of the other band - it is what it is, and for us, I think it has just bonded us tighter, and I think it has also made us more focused on getting our music out there and not allowing, you know, things like that to bring you down, rather take it as a positive experience…

It seems a pertinent time to discuss the new world order whereby often now promoters will run an online competition to award a band a support slot, rather than giving the support gig to a band which might musically fit the headliner and being given it on the credit for them actually being good? Surely that means some bands are being given the opportunity to support a name act on the strength of how many sixteen year olds are sitting at home on their Internet?

Harry: Oh, you mean like U2 bringing in a rapper to open up their show rather than a fucking rock n’ roll band?

SP: Well that’s a completely different story, but it still sucks so much (laughs).

Harry: Yeah, look the way I view it is this, the old school bands can still fucking do it, but at the end of the day I don’t think it’s the bands, I think it’s the management and the agencies and it’s the promoters and look, they’ve got a right to do what they want to do, they’ve got a job to do, you know, sell tickets. We can only do what we do, which is basically put out good fucking music, put on a positive show, put on a good fucking rock n’ roll show and if people like that they will come and eventually it will get to a point where we don’t need to scrape and beg on a promoters side of things, they will be asking us to play, and I know that sounds arrogant, but if you don’t have that attitude, then what the fuck are you in this industry for?

Harry: You might as well sit at home, you know, wanking and then say “I’m going to be the greatest person having sex”. Well if you are sitting at home and wanking all night, you’re not going to, you’ve got to get out there and fucking do it.

So let’s talk about the album ‘Living For the Sunshine”. It’s a really good record, a really mature record, and on it the band show a lot more direction and focus in their music. Was that just a matter of playing together more and getting the right people in the band and being more focused in general?

Harry: Yeah I think it has a lot to do with three months preproduction, I think it had a lot to do with having a better vibe of musicians within the band because Scotty and Derrin came into the band at the back end of [the first] album, so didn’t have a lot to do with it, and I think there was a little bit of , look, we respect you guys as musos and we’re in this band now, so we will back ya as much as we back ya, but when you start making your own music with a band suddenly it becomes focused & directioned. I had never written with anyone but Craig and suddenly I’m writing with a guitarist who has a totally different style to anything I’ve been used to playing with, suddenly I’ve got a drummer who’s dropping beats and I’m just like “Come here a second that’s not a football what’s going on here?” You’re putting the six and eight in a nine and seven slot, what the fuck? So it started to challenge me and then my vocals started to challenge the different harmonies, and then we had to put it all together so the only way to do that was to spend hours upon hours upon hours at rehearsal, and then find a really good recording studio to put it all down and let us have our own little movement within that, so we actually worked within the album simply because we needed to have that room to be able to breath and just make it ours.

SP: ‘Living For The Sunshine’ - buy it now.

Harry: There’s the quote.

"Living For The Sunshine album review"

I quite liked the 2009 debut album from Perth’s STONE CIRCLE, but it lacked focus throughout – they didn’t seem to know exactly who they wanted to be.

Well, the good news is that along with a slight line-up tweak has come all the focus they need and more – “Living For The Sunshine” is razor sharp modern AOR which begs to played on radio - if only we had some radio stations willing to play Australian rock songs that weren’t written more than a decade ago.

There’s more than a little of Eddie Van Halen in guitarist Scott Howe’s technique, coupled with plenty of personal flourish, and throughout the album you can hear hints of many of the great American hard rock and AOR bands like Journey, Toto, Bon Jovi and so on.

‘Transparent’ and ‘Living For The Sunshine’ have huge melodies you could hang your coat on; ‘Lost’ is a power ballad as good as anything from the Eighties; ‘Gero Love Song’ (despite the title) is simply epic; ‘Take Your Chances’ would sit happily on a Van Hagar album, complete with “candid strip bar banter”.

You won’t find a better, more polished US flavoured rock album from an Australian band any time soon – “Living For The Sunshine” is a collection of classy, catchy, rocking tunes.

"Album Review X-Press Magazine 03-03-2011"

Just listening to the bands that Stone Circle has supported, gives you an impression of the band itself. The Black Sorrows, Gyroscope, Daryl Braithwaite, End Of Fashion, as well as playing at the Def Leppard after party. The boys have been around; but it may surprise you then to learn that they have only been around since mid 2008.
Their accomplishments may be attributed to the successful formula they’ve discovered of writing straight up rock music and playing it with spirit. With a mixture of power-packed hard rock and more contemporary pop rock, the music is easily accessible and unsurprisingly popular considering Australia’s long-standing love affair with rock music.
The album starts off charismatically enough, energetically kicking off with their first track Tied To Stone, a song so dripping in southern rock influences you could swear you’d accidentally purchased a Black Stone Cherry album. In contrast to this, the next couple of tracks have been toned down a notch or two offering a reprieve from the hard-hitting manner the band has to offer.

"Review Amplifier Bar"

Second support are Stone Circle, this is the first time I have seen these guys live. Stone Circle played a great set with their blend of 80s rock, they are heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin and Van Halen the set list consisted of tracks from their forthcoming CD ‘Living for the Sunshine.’ Tracks from the album that stood out for me, were ‘Tied to Stone’ and Jeremy “Harry” Harris the vocalist, gave a great performance on this track. ‘Don’t Look Back’ and ‘Take Your Chance’ were also fine tracks. Altogether this was a great performance. - The Rockpit.net

"Review Amplifier bar 28-01-2011"

Next Stone Circle graced the stage. They’ve been making waves for quite a while now and it’s not hard to see why. Stone Circle boast all the required elements for success; a charismatic frontman that channels the presence of Michael Hutchence, a guitar hotshot and a lock-tight rhythm section. They kicked off with Tied to Stone and from then on there was no holding back. All the band members delivered a stellar performance, but guitarist Scott Howe was MVP of the night, igniting songs like Take Your Chances and Speed Racer with powerful riffs and fire-breathing solos. A particular highlight was the Zeppelin-esque Gero Love Song, which featured a sing-along chorus to die for. The band finished off with Living For The Sunshine to cap off the sizzling performance. - Spaceship News

"Stone Circle Added to BBFM"

Thank you for submitting your album 385 Newcastle Street for airplay on BBFM.

I liked the first track as soon as I heard it, so naturally I wanted to listen to the whole thing then. J How refreshing to hear just good ol’ rock music played well. Not overly complicated or fussy. I’m a fan of Touch The Other Side, I’m No Idol plus Angel – which is simply lovely!

All of the tracks will be on high rotation in our Amrap mix. This playlist airs five times per week (twice on Mondays) and features new Australian independent music. I will also be giving a couple of the tracks a spin on my show, Homegrown with Monica in the next couple of weeks.

All the best to you.

STONE CIRCLE is everything youd want an Australian rock band to be: hard working, passionate, not too self-conscious. If you like your rock hard and dont like Stone Circle, theres something wrong with you
(Chris Martin Spaceship news)

Stone Circle's rapid rise up the ladder of the nation's rock / adult alternative music scene has continued to amaze and excite both fans and the band itself. It's not that surprising though when in just 4 short years this hard working professional band have performed over 300 live shows encompassing sold out shows in their home town on top of two tours to Australia's east coast performing in both Melbourne and Sydney in addition to completing a self funded international tour throughout South America.

The band's music is definitely catching ears and turning heads. After hearing their latest CD "Living for the Sunshine" a personal invitation was extended by Sir Bob Geldof and his management for Stone Circle to perform at Sydneys Star City Casino's newest venue the "Rock Lilly Bar" for Bobs Rock and Rebuild Charity Concert After Party.

Following up this stellar performance, Stone Circle performed with indie pop up & comers Amy Meredith at the 2012 Australia Day Celebrations on Langley Park Perth before booking up a schedule of shows for February and March including appearances with Shannon Noll, The Baby Animals, Adam Brand and You Am I.

April 2012 saw Stone Circle launch into Latin America at the invitation of the Cuban Government. Stone Circle being the first Australian Rock Band to be invited to attend and perform at the Romerias de Mayo 2012 festival in Cuba set about self managing, funding and booking a complete South American tour which included performing 17 shows over the course of 3 weeks in Colombia, Cuba and Argentina. Interspersed with these performances came countless appearances, marketing opportunities, radio and TV interviews with a quick lesson or two in the Spanish language thrown in.

Building international fans and sales, Stone Circle is now receiving offers of support, festival performances and larger scale distribution in Latin America. With a 2013 release of their latest album (and possible back catalogue) currently being negotiated through Rock City & Scatter Records, Stone Circle will again venture back to South America in June & July with return appearances and shows slated in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Argentina to further cement their presence in some of the fastest developing rock markets in the world.
Not content with this exciting challenge, Stone Circle have accepted offers made to have them join a West Australian Contingent of emerging Rock artists conducting consecutive 2013 & 14 tours in the USA.

Since forming in July 2008, this power quartet from Perth, Western Australia has racked up serious supports including the after party for Def Leppards Australian tour in addition to appearing alongside the Galvatrons, End of Fashion, Birds of Tokyo, Gyroscope and Something With Numbers.Refusing to be pigeonholed, they display a diversity which enables them to support iconic Australian artists such as Ian Moss, Diesel, Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens, The Angels, Black Sorrows in both electric and unplugged formats.

Stone Circle's full length independent release Living for the Sunshine was recorded in the first half of 2010 at Crank Recordings in Perth and mastered by Leon Zervos at Studios 301 in Sydney.

Stone Circle is a rock band. Their songs are powerful , melodic, drawn from a vast array of influences and genres. Its the attitude, mentality and approach of artists like Queen, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and U2 that drives and inspires them. Live, Stone Circle are tight, passionate and energetic. Its these performances that have propelled Stone Circle into the popular consciousness, secured a 2nd place in the coveted competition to support Bon Jovi, and have the band labeled a true homage to the spirit of rock by Mix 94.5FMs the Big Couch.
