Stonehouse is a jam based guitar and vocal band out of Toledo, OH that blends rock, R&B, and funk with a tinge of Caribbean and New Orleans rhythms to create their own unique high energy style and sound.
A four-piece group performing primarily original music, Stonehouse was formed in 2004 and has gigged extensively at clubs and venues including, The Village Idiot, Doc Watson's, Mickey Finn's, Manhattan's, The Durty Burd, Club Underground, Casa Barron and Taste of the Town in Toledo, The Oregon Fest, Howards Club H in Bowling Green, Stanley's Pub in Cincinnati, Canal Street Tavern in Dayton and the 2007 ShamyBash held at Frontier Ranch in Ohio. The band just completed their debut EP in the spring of '07 which is now available @ shows and on their website.
The members of Stonehouse individually bring a diverse and eclectic musical background to the group. Jon Roth, from Honolulu and Cincinnati, is an experienced guitarist who also is the lead vocalist and songwriter. Jon has played in bands such as Jukebox Soul, Poe Ditch, and the fusion jam band Urth. Roman Meyer, from Toledo, has played guitar and sang in bands for 10 years covering genres from fusion to jam rock. He was also a member of Urth. Drummer, Alan Smith, from Miami and Asheville NC, is the seasoned veteran of the group and has performed and recorded with artists such as The Occasions, The Ohio Players, Pegasus, and the legendary Isaac Hayes. Rounding out the group on bass is the newest and youngest member of Stonehouse, Rob Menard. From Toledo, he has played with many bands including most recently Own Free Will.
Always delivering a professional and crowd pleasing show, Stonehouse is excited and available to play music for anyone and anywhere.
