Bio

Ever hear a song on the radio that just completely catches your attention, but when you buy the whole CD from that band, that song is the only good one? Well…That’s not what you’ll get from Stone Jones. They write songs that will grab you, move you, inspire you, leave you starving for more, and they will not fail you. You won’t hear 1 song that you’ll remember, you’ll get a full show of songs that you will take you on a musical journey touching many genres of music, from alternative rock, classic rock, funk, pop and so on.
Stone Jones originated early in 1999, when the dust settled after the break up of both South Paw, and Mostly Water. Brothers Bill and Mike stuck together, knowing there wasn't a tighter rhythm duo around. Darin and Chuck came from Mostly Water, and the four got together to see what would happen. Chuck and Bill had been playing off and on together for over 20 years, with Mike sitting in on practices when he was just a kid. When Stone Jones formed, it was instant chemistry.Music poured out of them. Undeniably catchy songs were being written by all four members of the band.

With all members sharing songwriting duties in the band, you don’t get the view point of just one member in the band. You get four very different angles at songwriting, and it shows in their vast catalog of original material.
Their live shows are energenic, entertaining, and unpredictable. One minute you are jumping up and down to a hard rock song, the next minute you are in awe as they shove some Chicago style blues right in your face, and you beg for more. You wont get the variety of music styles anywhere else like you do from this band.

Stone Jones has spent the last four years cultivating their sound, playing many venues throughout the Chicagoland area. They were featured on Local Anesthetic WXRT 93.1, played the Levi's stage at the Acura Music Fest 2000(Tweeter Center) with John Fogerty, Taste of Chicago 2001, and Meca Music Conference Chicago 2004
