"This is indeed a confident debut with the musicianship of a band who want to have fun just as much as they mean business." - Hotpress

"Stoneocean are unashamedly commercial pop-rock, which makes a refreshing change from the countless pretentious bands out there to 'change the world man.' They deliver an impressively energetic set, and make a bloody big sound for a trio. Most importantly, they know how to craft a really good pop tune, and have some of the catchiest songs to come out of this country in a very long time." David Scanlon - www.drop-d.ie

"StoneOcean are on the verge of a breakthrough" -The Leinster Leader

"Variety is something that Stone Ocean know about. Although their album works wonderfully as a cohesive whole, there is enough going on to keep the listener hooked throughout." - Hotpress

The amazing three-piece rock band from Kildare brings to us this incredible sound that brings such a dynamic atmosphere. This self-titled album is brilliantly put together. Initially when I listened to this I was ultimately shocked at the remarkable rhythm and new lyricism. These significant music makers claim that their influence is simply "anything that makes you move".Each song is completely different and each is individually unique.StoneOcean are the definition of modern rock! - Samantha Kim - Regatta Radio @ 104.9 Dublin South FM

"StoneOcean certainly look like they good go very far in the business" - Liffey Champion

"Stone Ocean deliever a brand of music that has been forged out of hard graft which is as inspiring as it is honest. The Stone Ocean sound is like a sneaky punch in the face, you dont expect it when it hits you, and you're left wondering where it came from? As a three piece the band manage to deliver a catchy powerful array of tunes with melody and force when required, a hard tide is rising , keep an eye out for StoneOcean" - Trev Mooney - www.gigsmartireland.com

"Fantasic debut album. StoneOcean are a credit to Irish music. My home is a great summer tune." - Colm Hanley, Dublin City Anna Livia Fm

"StoneOcean have been doing all the right things to make a name for themselves" - Hotpress

"Sometimes a hue and cry is made, bright young stars are thrust into orbit and those of us still Earth-bound look on and wonder how these chosen ones happen, what celestial tricks hide in the sunburst-patterned guitars. I think I saw a clue as to how, this weekend: fierce zeal to give the best show, to blaze a name into memory, act on initiative and drive, StoneOcean operate much like their namesake... fun-filled and welcoming to those who dip a toe into summery waters, a fiercer, deeper current of determination lurking beneath. And strong as stone, of course, rock-stars to the core." Naomi Mc Ardle -31 May 2006 - Various Media Quotes

STONEOCEAN are a 3 piece based in Kildare. Their music is a combo of dance beats and tricks mixed with rock guitar and licks, and they are currently touring their debut album "STONEOCEAN" which is out on american indie label Ghost Train Records.

The band nearly had some bad news recently when Glenn Cummins (Bass) was almost killed in a road accident near their house in Celbridge, Kildare. The bands Mercedes Benz spun out of control on a run to the shops for some eggs after a late night show, and collided with a tree and a phone box. Luckily he was not badly hurt but the car was demolished. Karac (Vox and Guitar) and Al(Drums) have subsequently got Glenn a hair band to keep his mammoth wig out of his eyes while driving.....

With all that on board and the success they had around the country with the first single, "My Home", it seemed only natural that "Good News" (out sept 24th)was the next offering...

During a performance at the Oxegen Festival, the trio sparked the interest of US indie label Ghost Train Records. Within a couple of months the band were signed and brought over to record their debut album in New Yorks prestigious Club House Studios with acclaimed producer Paul Murphy, following up with mastering pro Chris Athens (Cold Play, Limp Bizkit) and design artist Sean Evans (Maroon5, Aerosmith, AC/DC). The album and band have recieved critical acclaim from home press and djs with HMV selecting "one scratch away" for their playlist cd and Alison Curtis of Today fm hailing the band as one of her top bands for 2006...
