Chad Farris is a wily veteran in the Paris music scene with a penchant for passionate, unabashed alt-rock. He fronts local band Stone Rosevelt, a 4-piece modern rock outfit, and most recently, started paris-musicscene.com as an outlet for local musicians to connect.
While listening to Farris, one is reminded of the glory days of ‘90s alt-rock with a hint of Paris, Texas down home sensibility and twang. His lyrics pack quite a punch — so it is only appropriate that his voice reflects the same. Stone Rosevelt is a product of the internet forum "Topix". Founded in the summer of 2009, Chad Farris(Vocals, Guitar) teamed up with Chris Shoemate(Guitar, Vocals), Ben Alsup(Bass) and Nick Burton(Drums).
What sets Stone Rosevelt apart is the music. Stone Rosevelt strongly believes that there will be a shift in the music business to more honest and raw music.
