"Stone Soul's review February 8, 2010"

In the midst of so many talented (and some not-so-talented) musicians, I have found numerous bands with some pretty cool tunes, but for some reason, many are missing one important element...truth. The ability to speak of what is around us and what many of us are going through. From everyday life, to even our favorite movie. Raw...yes, deffinitely raw, Stone Soul capture a sound that is not just grazing the daily grind of humanity, but embraces it. "Fell Off The Wagon" reminds me of how good it feels to be able to just go down the street and grab a few beers at my local bar. And hell, why not check out Stone Soul while I'm at it? This is the kind of band I want to see playing live, I mean, they're the new party in town! I tip my hat to Stone Soul, because sadly, bands of this caliber may be a dying breed. If thought to be the next big thing, or history in the making, I might agree. Since the influence of pop-culture is taking over the majority of our youth, it's up to bands like Stone Soul to recover the missing pieces of what rock 'n' roll used to be... does anyone still know? Well, Revere,Rezendes, Gervais , and Alpin sure as hell do! And their not affraid to show it either! And if YOU don't know, then what the fuck are you doing on this website? Drown yourself in the music of Stone Soul and let it restore your taste in music. Booming bass, 'Fuck you' drumming, shredding guitar, and throat-scratching vocals should at least rattle you up enough to get off your ass, turn up the volume, and pound a six pack of "Thats hard Rock, bitch!"

"All Access Rocks Summer Concert Series@ Harpers Bar & Grill"

Another amazing line up at the All Access magazine sponsored concert series hosted at Harpers Bar & Grill, Northridge Ca.
Stone Soul's lead singer Jeff Alpin came out in an "I Fuck On The First Date" T-shirt, not disappointing by taking it off half way through the set.
Stone Soul brings it with a sound that is sometimes dark and operatic like Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), but also has the unexpected pounce of the attacking growl of James Hetfield (Metallica). The themes were the most sophisticated of the night ranging from a song called "No One Cares", about teenagers turning tricks to a song called "White Demon Fuel" about meth addiction! Soul combines spoken word, RATM style rap and song. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the cohesion of the drums, but the looser style seemed to fit the darker sound-which is especially unique when joined by the electric harmonica stylings of Alpin. This unique addition along with Alice In Chains style harmonizing with guitarist Jamie Revere definitley adds a sexiness to the sounds that makes Stone Soul stand out amongst the competition. - All Access Magazine

Bio

Geb Records recording artists "Stone Soul" has been playing in Los Angeles and around Southern California To growing crowds. The response has been overwhelming at both the all ages and 21+ venues.
Stone Soul is a hard rock band with a raw edge and a high energy vibe.

The band started to come together in late spring/ early summer of 2005. Jamie Revere and Ray Gervais were working with another singer. They were in the process of auditioning drummers when Ray decided to call his long time friend Jay Rezendes, to see if he would be interested in auditioning for the band. Jay, who was working in a cover band at the time, was eager to audition for the spot. It was obvious that the chemistry between Jamie, Ray and Jay was there from the first chord struck at the auditon. But the singer was not into it. So the decision was made to look for another singer. Jay decided to call his friend and former band mate from "Strarosphere" Jeff Alpin. It was January 01, 2006. "When I called Jeff I asked him what he was up to? He told me he was looking for some dudes to jam with. I said thats cool, thats why I'm calling you!" When Jeff heard the music he was off and running. When they got together for the first time it was like a lightning strike. All the chemestry was there. The band was complete.
