Stoplight Karma

Stoplight Karma

BandRock

We write music that captures the state of our souls. We are the immortalizers of good and sometimes bad vibes. Sometimes its ugly, but by always living up to this standard we keep our music as alive and real as it gets. We we're put on this planet to rock and thats exactly what we're gonna do!

Biography

We come from a wide variety of musical backgrounds and influences. There is no specific band or sound that we try to emulate. We thrive off of our own vibes and creative energy that is generated whenever we get in the same room. We just write whatever we are feeling strongly at the time and that is what comes out. We've never had to strive to hard to separate our sound from the rest of the pack. It just seems to end up different. Our originality is what makes Stoplight Karma the addictive no restraints band that many of our followers seem to love. We are not the "cool types" never have been, nor do we want to be. So another part of why we have a tendency to develop such a personal relationship with our fans is simply due to honesty and communication.

"Give me something real and we'll both learn to feel. Enough hype, enough bullshit, let the music do the talking"

Lunar Meltdown

Written By: Jared Spoonmore

Who would have known, You're all alone, Into the darkness I'll find me a home
Follow the sea, following me, take out the tide so the ocean can breathe
Find me some truth some kind of proof, eye for an eye lets just call it a truce
Do what you can, violent plan, Powerful mind only murders the man
I'm on a mission to blow up the moon married in march buried in June
Carve up a tombstone and read me my rites
Scared of the dark, Turn down the lights, Screaming ashes ashes we're all underground, Heavenly Choir, Hell of a Sound
Take my advice you shouldn't think twice the answer you want is far out of reach
Dead on the cross our savior is lost
Insanity strikes but it's such a relief
I'm on a mission to blow up the moon
This Lunar Lunacy can't be removed
There's still more fighting for us today
I just hope wormwood left someone to save

Shadows

Written By: Jared Spoonmore

I don't know your name, but you should run away
They're getting closer now, Cant you feel them watching you?
They're here to take us out
And there's nothing we can do
Euphoria please let me stay
Paranoia please go away
Just one more fix and I'll be done
Until I find another one
I'm high I'm low I'm having fun
I stay inside and curse the sun
These muscles ache my heads a mess
Been up for days now more is less
I'm just a junkie in a fucked up world
That's all I'll ever be
That's my identity yeah
Shadows on the wall
Make me feel so small
They're getting closer now
Can't you feel them watching you?
They're here to take us out
And there's nothing we can do
Euphoria please let me stay
Paranoia please go away
Just one more fix and he was done
He loaded up his father's gun
They found a note beside the bed
along with fragments of his head
They found the drugs
but they never read
the written words he'd never said
I'm just a junkie in a fucked up world
Please forgive me
This is how it's supposed to be
Euphoria please let me stay
Paranoia please go away

Set List

Depending on the venue and our order in the bands lineup for the gig, our set list will vary. Here is just an Idea of what an average set of originals for us usually looks like.

"Shadows"
"Lunar Meltdown"
"Take Me Apart"
"insert a cover song here" (we usually do an R.E.M. song or just something good that people will know in the middle of the set to make sure we are keeping everyones attention. Especially in a longer set and if we're not in a home crowd venue. it usually helps sustain the energy vibe a bit more steadily.
"Among the Dead"
"Bitter"
"Something New"
"Savior Soul"

We always end with "Savior Soul" its jammed packed with energy live and its an older song that everybody tends to already know.

We also have about 4 sets worth of cover songs and we are expanding on that all the time. It never hurts to know a lot of music.
