Bio

Stopstar began sometime in April 2005. Jeremy heard Julian playing iguitar one evening and asked Jules if he would like to play sometime. Julian immediately took that offer and turned it into a band. Recruiting his former band partner Lance, Julian began using his newfound bandmates as an outlet to produce his many exceptional writings. However, Lance and Jeremy became much more than mere part fillers. Pushing Julian's songs to the limit, these three exploded many concept works into full-blown masterpieces.

Since then, we developed a devoted fanbase who we simply adore. Our fans in Western and Central Tennessee hang upon our every word and constantly debate about which part of our music is best. We are so blessed. We also have fans as far as Scotland. Giggity.

I suppose we sound kind of like if you took Alternative Rock and gave it a haircut. If you want to put us in a box, you might call us "Progressive Alternative." We were trying to put a spin on classic alternative rock. When we started playing, we realized that alt rock was simply too easy for technical musicians such as ourselves, so progressive alternative was born. I think if you give us a listen, you'll understand what I mean. We have several important influences ranging from the Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana to RUSH, The Used, and Coheed & Cambria. Explanation: Wicked guitar licks overshadow clean, processional drum riffs and fast, melodic basswork.

NEW: Recently, we released our first full-length, studio album. We're extremely excited about it and want it to be heard. If any labels are interested in receiving a free copy for review, just contact Lance at 731-608-6512.
