Storey Above

Rabble rousing and rising like a north shore tide, Bathurst born Storey Above have been gaining momentum in the Atlantic rock circuit. To date, the gents have shared the stage with many great artists, including rising local performers “Oh, No Theodore” and the “Hungry Hearts”. Adding a unique flavour to a reminiscent blend of 90's alternative, grunge and country rock, Storey Above have recently took to Codapop Studio (Halifax) to record their five-track EP “Soak The Grain”. The ambitions of the band are refreshingly modest, hoping to gain visibility and further recognition through writing and playing the music they love.

The boys started writing music in July of 2011, in a loft above a garage, and they like to keep those simple beginnings front and center. With no pretentions, the boys are just looking to have a good time and more importantly, they want you to share in these times. The best way to describe a night with Storey Above is to imagine yourself sitting by a fire…on a North Shore beach…with a case of cold Alpine beer chilling in the box. With “Soak The Grain” tucked away in their back pockets, the vitality of this "maritime rock party" is not to be missed!
