"No Cover Magazine - November 2001"

The plus is for originality. The C is because of the raunchy tones, which, now that I reflect, could very well be the endearing beauty of this strange trio. Anouncing themselves as "a drunken Welshman, a romantic spainiard, and a Canadian hippie" We delve deeper to find, not only admiration, but the need for another listen. OK, we can spring for a B, but let it be known that the catchy oddity of Storytyme can't sway me any higher due to the final 'Y in the name... Oh shit, it's officially grown on me, but a B+ is where I draw the line because I'm not sure where this fits in the grand scheme of musical classification. Acoustic Bass, Classical Guitar, and drums...with attitude. Huh? - Andrew Farmer

"Skratch Magazine - December 2001"

Three mismatched miscreants from an out of the way town come together in the name of rock to record an album, go on tour, and begin to fight the good fight to make a name for themselves. This in a nutshell is the story behind Storytyme and how they came to be. The odd outfit crams together a nice little alt-folk flavored CD peppered with quirky energy and persistant vigor. With a sound reminicent of Sublime or Slightly Stoopid with a Bare Naked Ladies silliness. Storytyme delivers good times with tight guitar work and a steady beat accented by stong vocals. This band is worth checking out and most definately keeping an eye on. - Jaymes Mayhem

Bio

Storytyme is a band comprised of three brothers developing a refreshing style of music that has never been heard before. A classical guitar, acoustic bass, and drums combine, creating a sound that is unique, genuine, and infectious. The music is nearly impossible to describe in just a few sentences, but in one word it is: “ original ”
Over the course of the past few years, Storytyme has released 4 full-length albums, nine compilations, and countless demo CD’s. All of these projects have been entirely self-produced, from the compositions and recordings, to the graphics and distribution.
Storytyme is broadening their horizons by playing as many shows as possible to as many different audiences. I am writing this letter in hopes of gaining some support in booking shows and spreading the word. Storytyme and their original sound could very well be the next movement in rock music today. The groundwork for a very positive and successful run in the music business has been laid down. I hope that you will see and hear the potential that this amazing trio has to offer and extend a helping hand. Thanks for your time.
