"“Black Snow” Review"

"It's enthralling music that will have you instantly hooked as a result of it's mystique and curiosity." - Christopher Gonda - V13

"Song Premiere: "Like the Arrow Miss the Stone""

"The straight forward rock tune begins with cinematic gunslinger vibes then quickly shifts into a high energy, guitar-riff driven ride that doesn’t let up until the last notes ring out. Midway through the rollicking track, some deep spacey-synths break up the structure a bit, but returns to the fast-paced rock for the remainder. All in all, this is a great new rock track, off an equally impressive EP, that stands out amidst the shoegaze-heavy scene here in the city." -Shayne Hanley - Pancakes and Whiskey

"Song Review: "Like the Arrow Miss the Stone""

"Its a “bull by the horns’ punchy energetic track. With thumping drums and raspy rugged vocals that give the track muscle and a meaty substance. The mighty driving riff pulses throughout the track keeping a flexible energy and power. While that forceful bounce beat is the strong arm giving the track sturdiness and support. The refreshing addition of keyboard softens the track a little and adds a sticky slap of psychedelia that takes STRANGE ANATOMY to another level and makes their sound unique." -Indie Buddie - Indie Buddie

"Single Review: "Like the Arrow Miss the Stone""

"Bring you on a musical journey with their single, “Like the Arrow Miss the Stone.” The four-minute track experiments with different sounds, bringing a whole new meaning to alternative music."

"What stood out to me the most is the passion that lies beneath the singer’s voice." -Alyssa Mount-Bycholski - That's Why We Musyc

"SONGS WITHOUT FACES, FRIENDS WITHOUT WORDS REVIEW"

"In truth, [STRANGE ANATOMY] have delivered something which is what a band like Midlake would have given their right arm to do. Never mind Sufjan Stevens thinking about making an album for each and every state in the US - this is all fifty states rolled into a single album. The album could as easily take you on a journey across the idiosyncratic features of the USA or lock you in a basement with a geek on Facebook and let you discover the world from there." - Music Emissions

Bio

Drawing together immediate melodies and ever evolving instrumentation, STRANGE ANATOMY bridges the gap between the familiar rock and roll that we feel in our bodies and strange sonic artforms that can only dreamt of in our minds.

Though it began as a bedroom recording experiment in California, the band would only come fully to life in the practice rooms and concert halls of New York City, as songwriter Daniel Adams gradually gathered the talents of five phenomenal players.

Now regulars at venues like Rockwood Music Hall and recording studios like the Bunker in Brooklyn, the band continues to refine their sound. They are currently finishing up their high-concept sophomore album, OBSCURIA.
