"Strange Heroes Release Strange CD"

I'm sitting here listening to the new Strange Heroes album, Paths and Patterns. Comparisons which immediatelyh spring to mind are the Jefferson Airplane, the Band, the Grateful Dead....hey, I know I'm dating myself here, but these guys are mostly the same age as me and these are our roots......With a strong rhythm section, scorching lead guitar, and tight three part harmonies all overlaid by the gutsy innapropriateness of, for gos sakes, a banjo, the sound is indeed strange. Area music award officials have had a hard time categorizing the group, nominated for the OMA Creativity Award, and the 2003 NAMA "None of the Above" band award. .....Cindy Arsaga, owner of Arsaga's Espresso Cafe, says there sound is "in interesting combination of genres that includes folk and driving rock with occasional new age lyrics and indigenous rhythms. .... The band is definitely not afraid to take on political and social issues......they've made a great debut with Paths and Patterns. " - All About Town

Strange Heroes pays homage to our heroes who are wise yet who may often be considered strange or offbeat to the average person. From Zapata to Dr. Hoffman to Eward Abbey, Buddah and Jesus, our heroes are visionary and revolutionary.
