Strategy The Energy Band

In the year 2011, Strategy the Energy Band has been making strides and evolving into a more phenomenal band that even projected when they came on the scene some six years prior.

Lead singers include founder Kirk Brown, Tejay & The recently added Singer/Dancer Tahirah singing any and every genre under the sun. The band is versatile and play soca, reggae, dancehall & even top 40 hits. The strategy of the band is to use the universal language of music to deliver their messages around the globe. Having shared the stage with International recording artistes such as Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Fat Joe, Dru Hill, Julissa Bermudez of BET 106 & Park and platinum R&B sensation Ne-Yo there is no limit for this multitalented group of artistes.

2011 alone was a year of diversifying for Strategy the Band, drifting away from the expected and usual type of events to perform at unique events broadening their scope and horizon. Every year they receive Barbados Music Awards showered upon the band and its members to add to their list of nominated and received accolades.

Strategy is a staple in the minds of citizens of the Caribbean and visitors to the golden shores alike. Mere months after their inception way back in 2004, Strategy the band became a regular fixture on the nightclub scene in their homeland, Barbados and have erupted onto the Caribbean scene with touring and performances in England, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Jamaica subscribing to their theory that the world is their oyster. The accomplishments of the band in 2010 ranged from endorsements and distributions deals to individual awards for Music Video Of The Year 2009 & 2010 – Kirk Brown.

Strategy the band can be recognized in any category because they are dedicated and commit themselves to all endeavors they deem worthy. To reiterate and expound, Strategy the band knows no limits. The members think outside the box and perform outside the norm. Most of their lyrics are self-penned displaying the overflowing wealth of talent contained in the band. In comparison to other Caribbean bands known specifically for a particular genre, Strategy’s repertoire is unparalleled & they also serve as the backing band for Alison Hinds and other big artists on Tour within the region.

The evolution of strategy is on course and the ascension of these amazing artistes has only just begun. The quality of their voices leaves nothing to be imagined with their richness; timbre sound and soft, hushed tones when necessary to convey the emotions behind the lyrics. When Strategy the Band performs it’s more than music for they entertain with more than just their sound, their facial expressions, gestures and actions draw the audience like a moth to the flame.
