Stratton 5

Here's a rocking track which laments the world today, and the parallels with days gone by. The lead vocals are commanding and well delivered, there's plenty of musicianship on show too with a fine part on the keys and then the song is topped off by a very good guitar solo. This is another impressive track from the band, and yet more evidence that they are a band to watch out for. - Neil Irving

Dread Boy by UK band Stratton 5, comprises an intro and backing track that is reminiscent of the likes of Metallica and Nirvana, honours its genre well, with strong drum and guitar presence, hauntingly emotive vocals that will be sure to raise those goosebumps and have you feeling every lyric, lyrics that seemingly tell a tale of a dysfunctional relationship and its consequences on the protagonist's state of mind, sure to leave you wanting to hear more from Stratton 5 definitely a young up and coming band to keep your eyes on. - Ann Dempsey

We have been very impressed by Hertfordshire's Stratton 5 with their second tune Dread Boy. The group are all 16 years old and the release comes across with a pleasing combination of confidence and craftmanship. In particular, it has an excellent vocal performance and the motif leading into the chorus is a cheeky moment of genius.
