Street Scholar

Scyler Bostick Jr. better known as Street Scholar was born on Dec 11 1983 in New Orleans La. to the parents of Scyler and Noreene Bostick. After graduating from high school in 2001 Scyler lived up to his high school motto (WE LEAD OTHERS FOLLOW) and formed S.T.A. Real Entertainment while in his second year in college of 2003. While in college he learned recording engineering and became much better at graphic designs. Tho he would freestyle at times he never took it upon himself to be a recording artist until 2004 where he teamed up with his cousin Marzy Bacchus and started writing hooks and featured verses to be on his cousins album. After doing a verse on Marzy's song entitled "And the beat goes on" Hurricane Katrina hit his hometown of New Orleans La. a mere week later. After Hurricane Katrina hit he moved to Dallas Tx where he met a group named (P.R.E.Z.). After meeting them he quickly went into the studio to host their mixtape entitled "Ryder Music". When the gates of New Orleans were re-opened he returned home to continue music with his cousin and neighborhood friends. From then on he made the best of his situation by dropping a group mix tape called HOODFELLAS VOL1. After seeing that project do good numbers in the area he decided to produce his first solo project called Street Definition VOL1. which featured a couple artist from around the city. Yet his skills are also shown behind the scenes as well (audio/video engineering/graphic designs/ghostwriting) for plenty of artist throughout the country. After all Street Scholar is not your typical rapper. Having a positive vibe mixed with what he sees, he puts his heart and truth into his music.
