Bio
Street Greek is the moniker of singer-songwriter, Shawn Cephas. Shawn was born and raised in Philadelphia, literally, above his father's record store.
Shawn adopted the name Street Greek in April 2010. As Shawn explains it, Street Greek refers to the language spoken by the common people. Street Greek music is "everybody" music: soul, rock n roll, blues, and folk.
Street Greek has collected 9 of his originals into a brilliant album entitled After Hours. Recorded with his band, After Hours is a loose, laid back, and sensual companion to Street Greek's white hot live shows.
