"Street Light Suzie"

"Street Light Suzie is a rock group whose musical approach combines punk and heavy metal in a compelling way that showcases not only rock dynamism, but also solid songwriting and excellent musicianship."
- George Fish, Bloomington Alternative

"Red River Revival"

"Ross’ voice is like an old razor blade: rusty but sharp, and very likely infectious... It’s hard to convey the power of a live show through a CD, but Street Light Suzie pulls it off with seemingly no effort...This is a great road trip CD… just put it in and drive. Better yet, crank it up at the river or beach, just to let the commercial radio listening public know that you are cooler than them."
- Karsten Kroos, Edge Magazine

"Red River Revival"

" Wiley Ross Snarling out front of this Red River quartet, his indestructible whiskey grit begins with the cocaine binge "
- Raoul Hernandez, Austin Chronicle

"Red Album"

"Further proof to the old adage, never judge a book – or in this case, album – by its cover, as the artwork adorning STREET LIGHT SUZIE’s Red Album is beyond boring; but the CD contains ten damn fine rock ‘n roll tunes. Co-produced by former GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist GILBY CLARKE, an up-tempo and irresistible cover of CHRIS ISAAK’s ‘Wicked Game’ highlights this casually cool batch of bourbon-infused songs. Shaking off the street grit, vocalist / guitarist / keyboardist / harmonica player Wiley Ross leads his Texas-based troupe through a series of ‘Guilty Pleasures’, all the while being ‘Drunk N Lonely’, proclaiming “I’m the biggest fucking whore in all the town!” The raspy and swirling ‘Walls’ reveals, “Big hair and limousines, that really ain’t my scene.” Devoid of pretension and bred for a roadhouse bar, Street Light Suzie is working man’s music through and through... " - Aaron Small, Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles

"Street Light Suzie"

"Street Light Suzie make well-crafted, tight, down-n-dirty rock. It may sound gritty, but it goes down good."
- Loris Lowe, KLBJ-FM Austin, Texas

Forged in the blazing heat of the Austin, Texas music scene, Street Light Suzie is a rock quartet like no other. Band leader and songwriter Wiley Ross started the group as a trio in 2008. After touring the country, including a packed show at LA’s Viper Room, personnel changed and Ross decided to mold it into a fearsome foursome. This gave Ross the chance to do more as a showman and add keyboard to the mix. The band has continued to pl
ay Texas and the Midwest. In September of 2011 their blistering demos caught the ear of Guns ‘N Roses alum Gilby Clarke. The union was a resounding success as the band traveled to LA to record in his studio. The result is the critically acclaimed “The Red Album” and the single “Drunk ‘N Lonely”. The group has also been successful placing their songs in film and television, including credits on CSI, Nikita, Ringer, VH1 and E! shows.
Ross, a powerful vocalist, is described as a “cross between Zakk Wylde and Billy Gibbons”. A virtuoso guitarist, keyboarder and songwriter, he is also known for his artwork. He has painted murals for the city of Austin, displayed paintings in the state capitol and delights fans at their live shows with his hand-painted T-shirts. (see unbleached T’s by Wiley).
Holding down the bass guitar is Joe “Oso” Morales, long-time friend of Ross and occasional co-writer. Oso was the first new man in the lineup. Rob Williamson is on drums and is a renowned Austin percussionist and well-traveled road veteran. Together Morales and Williamson form the pillars of rock in the band’s sound. Newest to the lineup is guitarist and backup vocalist Nikkoli Kade Kubena who is a front man and band showman in his own right in the Austin scene.
Together this incendiary quartet brings back hard rock and roll the way it was meant to be played. “It may sound gritty but it goes down good”, reports KLBJ-FM in Austin. Read more reviews, hear music, see videos and more on the band’s official website:
