STREET LOTTO (alias KMS) is taking the Hip Hop generation to that next level. With clever lyrics, catchy hooks and a distinctive voice, STREET LOTTO embodies the new generation of MC’s. What separates this Cincinnati native from the rest is nowadays virtually everybody fashions himself or herself a business entity in this rap game because the idea of complete autonomy and big money can be very appealing. Many fall by the wayside once the realization of how shady and manipulative the industry can be if you don’t have your business together. Still there are few who have the determination, patience and knowledge to make it. Street Lotto is one of them.
While he could have spent years trying to nab a record deal with a major label, LOTTO decided to take matters into his own hand and form his own label. “Right now, the way the music industry is, I’m confident being independent is the only way, otherwise you get with a label; wait in line until they feel like getting you out to your audience, its just so much politics involved that it’s best to get out there yourself to create the necessary buzz and build your fan base from the streets. Now with the Internet, independents can expose their music worldwide, which makes it even more lucrative to invest in your own company”. STREET LOTTO has joined forces with the legendary Poppa Snoop Music Group and personal manager Ron G. “Everybody out here is taking chances to get paper and using the street game to get into the music industry” says Lotto, so we decided to call it “Street Lotto”.
The Cincinnati native realized that in order to make a lasting impression amongst the growing number of rap hopefuls, he’d need to stand out. From there STREET LOTTO decided to relocate in Atlanta and gain even more knowledge on the emerging music scene, since ATL is one of the hottest markets in the country right now. LOTTO has taken what he has learned down South and applied it to the growing music scene in Cincinnati. Street Lotto plans not only to build up the hip hop market in Cincinnati, but the entire state of OHIO and continue representing that Midwest hip hop to the fullest. Lotto has helped form the Big Red Coalition with some of his other peers in the rap game. This is a great power move, not only for the locals, but they plan to expand throughout the state to open up even more doors for the emerging talent in Ohio. Television has been feeling his style as well. His video, “OHIO PLAIRZ” has been featured on the BET ‘04 shows, “the Next”, Uncut and START. Not ready to slow down, Lotto is already working on his next independent release entitled, “GAME-N-FORTUNE”. “Be on the look out for Street Lotto in a city near you,” he says. “And for anybody out there trying to make it, be sure to play for position”.
