Stria

Orlando-based electronic rock group STRIA was formed during the latter part of 2007 when operatically trained vocalist Daniel Chapman and Justin Janetzko (bass, programming, vocals) met on an online classifieds page for musicians. Common goals and a love of music propelled them to start writing together and playing shows across central Florida. In 2009, STRIA released Chimera, an eleven-song LP written with former drummer Michael Cook. The album began to work its way into the heads and homes of hard rock fans everywhere and won numerous best song contests within Central Florida.

During the fall of 2009, STRIA acquired drummer Douglas Apolinario and began regional touring, as well as building a bigger hometown fan base. They spent the next year promoting Chimera, gaining industry experience on and off the stage, and creating an increasingly intense live performance.

With the addition of Dan Sneigoski in the summer of 2010, STRIA began to explore new techniques and evolved their sound, mixing electronic/techno elements with rock riffs and hooky vocals. The integration of technology with their brand of aggressive rock became the new face of STRIA, departing from the nu-metal, rap core sounds of Chimera in pursuit of mainstream and radio appeal.

As of late, STRIA has been working diligently with Grammy award winning and Grammy nominated producers from Atlantic, Warner Bros and Columbia records, towards the bands new direction. In 2011 STRIA signed a major production contract with Certified Gold artist Ben Kasica of SKILLET and after writing with major industry contributors, recorded a five track industry EP. This EP is currently in its final stages and major label representatives are aware of, as well as eager to hear it. Expect release date is early October 2012. STRIA's upcoming radio single, "Rise From The Ashes" is already set to be presented to Warner Bros for movie soundtrack consideration and mass publishing. The co-writer and backup vocalist in this particular track received a RIAA Gold Record and Grammy Nomination for his work on the "Twilight" soundtrack. This is in addition to his many other awards as he continues to work with the likes of Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and many more..
