Bio

An Englishman, Irishman and an Australian walk into a bar… Sounds like the start of a bad joke, right? Wrong! This is no joke. It’s the story of how Strings for Ammo were formed.
Their music is described as a “fiery blend of acoustic rock” and the boys have a knack at writing catchy, uplifting music.

Strings for Ammo formed in Brisbane in the early parts of 2012 when Steve, Mitch and Joe met at various busker’s nights in the city. The band took out the ESCALATE band competition of 2012, then shortly after embarked on a tour of north Queensland playing and busking in venues
along the coast.

In March 2013, the band recorded a Busking EP titled ‘Not Official’. The emphasis behind the recording was to capture the energy that they display in their live performances and sell the CD whilst busking. The product is a raw acoustic collection of songs. Joe Panetta from Wavelength
Recording, Brisbane, praised the boys work ethic explaining that ‘their approach to working in the studio is as dedicated as their infectious and heartfelt songs are crafted. We’ll be hearing more of this trio in the future.”

It’s simple, Strings for Ammo love making music. The boys’ musical connection can be heard in each track. They are currently locked away crafting their debut album, ‘Leave Your Judgment At The Door’, set for release in June 2013.
