It is rare to find a singer/songwriter with such raw talent that itt show through on a studio recording. This five-track Ep dubbed ONE MORE DAY by Striving 4 Perfection does just that;its not overly produced so the listner can hear the true emtion coming through on the songs. Kicking off the cd is an angry tune about a hospital emergency room and its quite good,with plenty of reverb on the vocals and beautiful guitar playing. Very simple but quite expressive. A few longing love songs fill in the main portion of this EP. Would an acoustic act be complete without a song of heartbreak? I think not. Closing it off is an intrinsic ballad called yesterday which is by the way one of the most vocally advanced tracks on here Singer Jim Carney really lets it go on this one, and wraps up the ep on one strong note. All in all a very satisfying experience from a songwriter who digs his work up from his soul. - adrian glover
