Bio
StroboScopica came together in the sonic back alleys and cultural undercurrent of Montreal in 2010. Their funky/jazzy/rock instrumental music was inspired by music such as Jean-Pierre Mirouze's “Sexopolis” for the film “Le Mariage Collectif ” and Maurice Jarre's psychedelic music in the sci-fi film "Barbarella".
After gigging these obscure covers in legendary Montreal bars, StroboScopica began writing material in the cinematic action music genre resulting in the tunes that became the original music score for The Chaperone. The film is a captivating story in 3D animation which won awards and was highlighted at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), SunDance and Cannes Film Festival in 2016. The Original Soundtrack was released in 2017
StroboScopica is currently finishing off their first full length album and continuing to write new material for the second. StroboScopica is looking forward to bringing their action-packed brand of groov'in cinematic musical musings to a venue near you.
