"STROLL Through a new frontier"

Seamlessly bringing together the sometimes disparate worlds of violin and guitar, Stroll create a hybrid form that generates its musical energy from careful composition and arrangement rather than resorting to pointless
displays of virtuosity.

Utilizing hard driven rhythms beneath the rich timbres of violin and guitar, Stroll create an aesthetic that is hard to categorize in any conventional genre realm. As the name suggests Stroll take a gentle, ambling approach that allows the listener the time and space to take in the subtle beauty of their music and the understated virtuosity of both Morgan and Keeble.

"A captivating and musically accomplished journey"

Melbourne remains Australia's beating heart of cross-pollination and genre jamming if this striking release from five-piece instrumental ensemble Stroll is any measure.

Pleading, lyrical violin/viola stylings collide with melodic guitar dynamics, and the addition of tablas, cello, and Beatlesque horns and a traditional rock rhythm section creates an evocative, cinematic listening experience of uncommon beauty and mystique.

Evolution's Disgrace Pts 1 and 2 is the album's centrepiece. The tracks exemplify the Stroll experience: part contemporary composition, part guitar-fuelled space waltz, it distils the band's pedigree and influences into a few thrilling minutes.

A captivating and musically accomplished journey. - The AGE - Melbourne Jan 2006

Bio

"Andrea and myself got pissed one night and
decided to write a rock opera" Scott Morgan
describes the birth of STROLL.

"Although a bit of a lame idea the next day, it had
been the catalyst for us to start writing together.
We never intended to start an instrumental band, it
all just fell into place mainly because the tracks held
their own without lyrics".

After 2 years of writing and recording STROLL have
swiftly become one of Victoria’s most revered acts.
STROLL falls outside all conventional genre
categories, proudly exploring new musical
boundaries that invite all that listen on a brave and
unique journey. Hard driven rock rhythms blended
with the rich timbres of violin captivate the
unsuspecting listener.

The creative core of STROLL – Scott Morgan and
Andrea Keeble – was honored as a finalist in the
INTERNATIONAL SONG COMPETITION [USA] 2005.

"Carnival of Lost Souls" is the debut album for
