Bio
Stroon is a Bratislava (Slovakia) based producer, vibraphone player and a composer. He studied percussion and composition at the Bratislava Conservatory. Throughout his musical career he has gone through all kinds of musical styles such as metal, hard-core, reggae, funk, jazz, classical, experimental, pop, electronica and improvised music. He is one of the most prolific young musicians in his country with eight releases and a dozen of cooperations such as with improvised orchestra Musica Falsa et Ficta or multimedia act Frutti di Mare (currently non-active), Cluster Ensemble performing contemporary classical music (Steve Reich, John Cage). Other projects include Skviry & Spoje (improvising quartet), Longital and PPE (Slovak best live band three years in a row according to Radio_FM awards) where he is currently a full-time member. He also DJs quite frequently in local clubs as well as composes music for films and accompanies silent films with music.
Main achievements:
Best Electronic music album nomination (Radio_Head awards 2012)
Performances at Open'er Poland, Pohoda Festival, Waves Vienna, Wilsonic Bratislava, Sperm Festival Prague and as a local support for Emika (Prague, Brno, Bratislava).
Apart from genuine style and numerous influences and activities, vibraphone as his main instrument distinguishes him from other musicians.His live shows are often accompanied by live visuals by VJ Stix.
