STRYCHNINE POISONING are a four-piece band from Bath, defining their own relentless and unique brand of deep and dirty rock'n'roll. Typified by infectiously grinding guitar riffs and ripping lead lines, the heady mix is underpinned by thundering drums pushing animated bass lines, and laced with the distinctive dirty-silk vocal of front man Johan. Strychnine Poisoning create a united groove fit to severely increase the heart rate of the most sedate individual.
Drawing on influences such as the New York Dolls, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin, this young band tear out blistering rock contrasted by emotive and insightful themes. Forming in late 2009 and tirelessly writing ever since, these boys have already been compared to the chaotic Gallows, as well as the rampant Guns n Roses, and are ready and set to tear down the scene in a haze of cigarette smoke and dirty leather.
Strychnine Poisoning are currently recording a 5 track EP entitled 'Heavy Dose', produced by 'Kids Can't fly's' very own Robin Black. Set for release in a few months time, its sure to be a raw and honest display of what Strychnine Poisoning do.
