"Get Dirty (333 Club Shoreditch, London)"

Stuee is currently a resident DJ for club 333's weekly electro night "Get Dirty". Music and dancing is paramount at 333 and Stuee joins the league of sparkling line ups we regularly host here. "Get Dirty" follows the success of the XFM club night, and Stuee no doubt lives up to the hype created by the previous XFM hosts and DJ's. Stuee is an electrifying DJ that can get a dance floor moving. The combination of well-known beats with more obscure, thicker and filthier tracks gives Stuee his own unique sound. Whether its down to his stellar choice of tunes or his almost telepathic reading of the dance floor, it doesn’t matter, Stuee keeps everyone dancing, and there is no hesitation to say that he always leaves the crowd wanting more.
- Natasha Mitchell - Promotor

"EDUN After Show Party The Box NYC"

EDUN commissioned Stuee to DJ our after show party for the FW07 Collection during NYC Fashion Week at coveted nightspot The Box. The theme of the Collection was Nature at Night and Stuee brought the dance floor to life post a provocative performance by NYC Cabaret troupe The Citizens Band. Stuee’s rock and electro beats got the discerning NYC fashion elite off their feet and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Considering EDUN’s rock & roll roots Stuee was a natural choice for us, bringing together an eclectic array of genres to get the party started. - Bridget Russo - Global Marketing Director EDUN

"Soho House/White Cube Party"

Stuee DJ'ed the Soho House/White Cube party during the Frieze Art Fair, hosted by Nick Jones and Jay Jopling. His eclectic mixing skills kept our guests dancing throughout the night, and when the party needed to end they were literally screaming for more. The event was a very elegant affair with A-list guests from the Art and Fashion worlds. Even Kate Moss slipped through the back door dancing to the music with an entourage who followed. The party was on two levels and Stuee was able to create an amazing crowd reaction with music piped into both floors; fine dining on the first and an ultimate rave on the level above. Stuee was an incredible crowd pleaser and I would excitedly book him for any future events.
- Kelly McCauley, Soho House Group Marketing Director

"Bungalow 8 - London"

Stuee has been a resident DJ at Bungalow 8 since September 2007. Best know for his weekly Saturday night residency in the upstairs bar/lounge, Stuee has created a following all his own, getting even the most discerning crowd off their feet and on the dance floor. Often playing alongside DJ’s Seb Chew of YoYo fame or Dirty Vegas’ Paul Harris, Stuee’s unique blend of electronica, electro house and nu-disco with classic tracks of the 80’s and 90’s, provide the perfect chemistry to Chew’s and Harris’ hip-hip and house sets respectively. Party-seekers alternate from floor to floor always ending up in the upstairs bar where Stuee classically closes the night with his floor-stomping mix. Due to popular demand, Stuee also special guest DJ’s in the downstairs bar on various nights throughout the week. - Chris Jepson - General Manager

Bio

Already heavily lauded within the camps of the London live music scene due to his ongoing successes with critically acclaimed bands The Paddingtons and The Social, Stuart Bevan is fast making a name for himself on the electro club scene.

Having risen through the ranks at breakneck speed Stuee has travelled a long way since his humble beginnings "knocking up rave tracks on my Atari". Dodging vomit and flying pint glasses at his first professional gig at the Dublin Castle soon made way for regular guest spots at the trendier Lock Tavern and Bar Undersolo. A clear half decade before the Queens Of Noize came along, regular ‘Camdenites’ would often journey to one of these hotspots to find Stuart proudly standing on top of a bar blasting out Spandau Ballet and INXS.

However, all that seems a far cry from his burgeoning career now; holding residence at Soho’s highly fashionable Met Bar and Bungalow 8, as well as being invited on as headline DJ at Old Streets hit new weekly party – Get Dirty @ 333.

Behind all this experience and success, it is no surprise to learn that Stuart has had to hone and develop his skills to create a sound that is truly unique to him and sets him apart from the already over-saturated disc jockey scene. This progression of his talent has taken place in his own purpose built studio where he now produces his own particular brand of electro, compare to the cramps mixed with LCD Soundsystem fronted by a bastard offspring of Simon Le Bon and Jaz Colman!

With this level of action and achievement it has been impossible for Bevan to go unnoticed. Approached to remix ‘Time for Shopping’ by Italian disco punk band DID, he has now also been asked to work on an electro teenage heartbreak collaboration with London’s new girl grime sensation MissOddKidd. It appears that all corners of the music industry are keeping a close eye on him, and sources report that it won’t long before many more people are vying for his proven golden touch.

Live, everything is done and remixed on site. Preferring the challenge of improvisation and spontaneity to the stale unimpassioned performance involved with pre-conceived and thought out sets. Blending electronica, tech house, indie, and nu-disco with classy cult cuts from the past, he truly does grabbing the audience attention and maintaining his grip with a tailor made set which is bespoke to each individual crowd.

Citing his main influence as Erol Alkan, it appears his ideas and passions didn’t fall too far away from his eidolon’s tree. With his recurring reference to his love of the 80’s, intertwined with mixing classic electro cuts, progressive tracks, cult samples and the odd main-floor crowd pleaser, Stuee leaves an indelible mark upon every nocturnal electro lover who is lucky enough to catch him.

Stuart is presently wooing the underground club circuit with a combination of flair, passion and technical genius, and on this form it shall only be a matter of time before the mainstream club land are begging to solicit his irrefutable talents too.
