STUCK IN THE SOUND

With a strong scenic reputation, the parisian cult band issues a brilliant debut album.

The first thing that strikes when listening to Stuck In The Sound is that efficiency that we usually attribute to British or American rock bands. With its sharp guitars, powerful rythms, and a voice both elegant and electric, the band creates a fundamental music, between Pixies craziness, At the Drive-in strength and The Smiths dandyness.

The originality of Stuck In The Sound comes from its strong musical identity. Stuck In The Sound never get inspiration from other bands : they actually never play covers and dont need to. When other bands are obsessed with their image, the four boys prefer to work night and day in their studio, located in the suburb of Paris to patiently work their sound.

Stuck In The Sound first met in 2002 at a party. One by one they tried to seduce the same girl in vain, and the four lonely hearts got to know each other... Fortunately they found a guitar and spent the rest of the evening playing. Nobody knows who was that girl, but several songs are dedicated to her.

The first album was recorded in 2004.The band immediately showed an energy that will increase their reputation. Their authenticity combined with the desire to please the public gathers quickly a huge and loyal fan base. Then, two decisive events will fix their destiny. Stuck In The Sound won La Pepiniere contest in 2004, and features on 2005 CQFD compilation by indie rock mag Les Inrockuptibles, on which everybody discovers their war machine : ToyBoy.

The band started to receive many gigs proposals and has been invited to play with prestigious foreign rock bands such as Dirty Pretty Things, Deportivo, The Kooks, The Organ Stuck In The Sound establish itself as one of the most acclaimed acts in the Parisian scene. Its the moment when things were getting serious : Stuck In The Sound was programmed as opener for 2 major French Festivals (Rock En Seine with Pixies, Queens Of The Stone Age, Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters... and Le Bruit de Melun with Louise Attaque, Luke...).

The band released a first EP entitled ToyBoy and recorded their debut album.Nevermind The Living Dead (Discograph, 2006).

The album is full of electric punk (Never On The Radio), unforgettable choruses (Delicious Dog, I Shot My Friend), misty moods (Nevermind The Living Dead, You Aint For Me), crazy gems (Dont Break The Bar Please Dumbo !, Cramp Push And Take It Easy !), epic gallops (I Travel The World, Dont Go Henry, Third Eyed Girl), elegant ballads (Waste), arty delirium (Its Friday)... alongside the hit-in-the-making ToyBoy.
