Bio
The Studio Heat label was started in 2007 by Rick DaFlare Aggeler a drummer, Berklee College of Music graduate and Senior Music Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. As a musician, Aggeler realized the influence that music had on his life and wanted to provide the opportunity for the youth of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston to express themselves through music. The first album from the label, Larger Than Life, was released in 2008 and featured DMC from the iconic hip-hop group Run-DMC. Since then, seven albums/mixtapes have been released with an eighth set to come out in fall 2012. The current Studio Heat roster includes: Yung Fresh, Tony Sparks and the duo of Obama and Jay Tyler, who make up the Spit-It Boys.
