Stunato EP 2008

STUNATO creates a highly eclectic and accessible mixture of modern hard rock with elements of acoustic folk, punk, ska, and blues. Rocking grooves, refreshing humor, and cutting, melodic, boy-girl lead vocal harmonies, ala LA punk pioneers X, give STUNATO its unique vibe. The band pulls from diverse influences such as Joni Mitchell, Bad Religion, Rufus Wainright, Burning Spear and Metallica.

The band’s first single “WHEN BUSH COMES TO SHOVE, “ from the EP Tag was played on Italian Radio’s RADIO ROCK station in Rome, Italy in 2006.
STUNATO is rich and also diverse in talent.
Vocalist and songwriter /guitarist Manny Capozzi was active in the Roman music scene for the last four years and played music festivals throughout Italy with his band the Figs.
Lisa LoGrasso is a longtime Chicago-area vocalist and singer songwriter and fronted the underground fem-punk band the 28th day.
Bassist Erik Vecchione is a veteran of both the Chicago and Austin, TX music scenes, as a session musician and live support for the Mystechs, Nathan Payne, while fronting local jazz trio, the Sons of Ra.
Johnny Jairala has worked as a studio drummer with some of the top musicians in Ecuador and with a variety of Brazilian samba and rock acts around Chicago.
Tommy Ton has been in various heavy electronic projects around his native Chicago, as well as being involved in many professional audio design projects. Has been playing for around 5 years and composing for much longer.
STUNATO are currently recording the upcoming album “THESE KNIVES DON’T WORK,” due for release in 2008
