"Stutter Review"

...a blend of premium pop and new wave bands like The Go-Gos, The Cars, Devo, The Bangles, Toni Basil, The B-52’s… This is definitely a band custom made for the video world we live in...you get a healthy dose of eye candy as well as ear candy from this band. - Ear Candy

"Stutter Review"

Complete with an included video for "Twenty-One", this self-titled debut album just simply rocks it. Who ever said that Canadians didn’t know how to rock? Stutter employs the sugary pop melodies from ‘80’s artists like Devo, Blondie, and the Cars. Female-fronted, they’re no Killers clone. Stutter dots their albums with ingenious melodies and stellar hooks that producer Alex Greggs (N’Sync, Britney Spears) amps up the "infectious" factor a 110%. Nice. - Smother

"Stutter Review"

"It's fun filled synth-driven retro-style pop rock that I wish would take back the airwaves from the crap that plagues pop radio today." - Now On Tour

"Stutter Review"

"Man I miss new wave. Luckily Stutter has my back with their classic new wave sound and look. This album is one thing from tsart to finish- FUN. So if you are sick of hearing whiny bands complaining about their charmed lives or the ills of American government then check out Stutter.

The band’s self-titled debut full length opens with the ultra catchy "Twenty-One" and never slows down from there. "Brand New Start" is up next and it’s one of the catchiest songs I have heard in a LONG while. The more than usual retro sound of "Sad Eyes" is an amazing moment and I have to believe that even the mighty Cyndi Lauper in her prime may not have been able to top this one. The emotional vocal and odd electronic bits really drive this song and it once it gets a hold of you it doesn’t let go. "Young & Forgotten" is another really cool moment. I keep thinking of those odd eighties music videos with like unicorns and woman being splattered with paint while walking through the forest for no reason. "Young & Forgotten" would be perfect for a video like that.

Fans of Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper, Dragonette, Duran Duran, and Stimulator NEED to check this band out right now. If they key to the future is the past then Stutter has just unlocked the floor to the future!
