Bio

STUX was founded in Darien, Wisconsin in December of 1998 by lead guitarist Ian Honeyager, rhythm guitarist Erik Emerson, bassist Tommy Schulten, and drummer Joe Schulz. The current line-up was completed in the summer of 2001 by vocalist John Walsh. STUX started out playing local all-ages shows, inlcuding many benefits for their town's skateboarding park. With intense live shows filled with heart pounding originals and crowd pleasing covers STUX was always invited back to rock the house. The band was able to develop quite a following through years of playing these shows which captured the attention of many local bar owners, and opened up many new opportunities for advancement.

STUX has played many large venues around Wisconsin including, THE KLINIC, THE ANNEX and KITT'S KORNER in Madison, CLUB RAVEN/BIG E'S BEACH CLUB in Newville, and the RAVE in Milwaukee

In addition to headlining many local shows, STUX has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great bands in the area, including: Kunu, Malice in Wonderland, Hebron, Splyne Drive, Potter's Field, Cynergy 67, Warmouth, Snooky, Lords of Disipline, Rictus Grin, Darkshift, GWAR, Cradle of Filth, Vains of Jenna, Hell Yeah, Machine Head, Hatebreed, Type O Negative, Nonpoint, and countless others.

February of 2009 brought the release of the first STUX full-length album, recorded by sound engineer Keith Beckman from Delavan at Trick Bag Studios. STUX released the album under a self-produced, independent label.

July of 2007 STUX won a Battle of the Bands at the Private Party Club in Rockford Illinois, beating out 15 other very talented bands, and winning a huge cash prize.

September of 2007 STUX was featured as the cover story of Madison's Madhouse Monthly, which can be seen at: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=128361448&blogID=305696827
