Substance

Substance by Webster's definition reads:

"The most important element in any existence; the characteristics and essential components of anything; the main part...."

Judging by only the name given to this young music minister, one might not be exactly sure what to expect. The season has arrived for this promising talent who is embarking on a journey of ministry and music with a message of love and adoration toward Jesus Christ. Substance is a valuable addition to the steady genre of Gospel and Christian Hip Hop. With his debut album "Choose A Side" now in stores, he will be introduced to many as a pure lyricist armed with both rhyme and singing vocals.

Over the past ten years Substance has earned a performance resume that rivals even some of the most successful artists in music today. Substance has shared the stage with many major international acts before being the lead to sing Christian music, and has opened for such notables as: Out of Eden, Donnie McClurkin, and Ben Tankard. Subtance has also been a special guest on "Let's Talk Church Show" with Dr. Bobby Jones for BET, Dino for TBN, and more.

Unlike many young artists who chaste after the major contract, Substance has traveled the road of artist development. In doing so, he has invested countless hours both on stage and in studio. Through a natural growth he has been able to work behind other artists in music production. As a writer/producer/artist Substance is the appreciative owner of a recording studio where he spent years developing and capturing a unique sound that is both lyrically and musically magnetic.
