Subtopia is the ambient/electronica project of Limerick (Ireland) based producer Tom Slowcat. He released Nightside, his first EP under this name in April 2019. His hardware synth-driven music draws inspiration as much from the electronic music pioneers of Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre and Steve Roach, as from more modern artists such as Moby, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada.
