Sucker Puppet

Sucker Puppet started out many years ago, with long time friends, Shawn and Mark, jamming in the basement. The first additional member came soon after when Shawn met Elvis. They joined up with a bass player and the first line up was born. After playing for a few years they met up with their vocalist Grant. Once this group of musicians came together, they formed the band Circle Of Fifths. For many years they played across the Niagara Peninsula. Playing such places as Lakeside Park, The Chippawa Blues Festival, Front 54 as well as being a regular bar band for a few establishments in Niagara Falls. Knowing all the while, how hard it is to get a gig, as an original band, in a small chicken wing eating town, they pressed onward. In November of 2007, Mark was introduced to Ryan. Now the current line up was complete. After some deliberation, in January of 2008, they decided to change the name of the band to Sucker Puppet. Under the new name, they entered the C.B.G.B. Second Annual Battle of the Bands and placed 2nd in the final showdown. This quintet is ready for action. With varying influences, ranging from Pearl Jam and Nirvana to Black Sabbath and Megadeth, these musicians have pulled together to form one of Niagara’s best Rock bands. With an album in the recording stage, Sucker Puppet is anxiously awaiting its release. Having fun is a great way to describe the atmosphere around the band. While all the time still being serious and with their head on the task at hand. The road ahead is always uncertain, but for these five musicians, the journey is just beginning.
