Bio

Sudden Impact formed in early 2008 when Rick approached Chad about starting a new band. Chad agreed on the condition that Rick find a singer and guitarist, if not both in the same package. Rick was true to his word and soon Charlie was standing in Chad’s garage with amp and guitar in hand. It took just one practice session, and something started to feel pretty good. Without hesitation, Chad made one excited call. Welcome to the band Greg. Chad and Greg go back to middle school as friends and musicians. With Greg’s business skills, not to mention his keyboard, sax, and vocal talents, everyone felt this could be the beginning of something really unique and diverse in a city of similar sounds and faces.

We pride ourselves on a century of combined playing experience. Rick plays bass at his church as well as other band projects. Greg performs for the elderly in local long-term care facilities and he has performed at many weddings and special events. Charlie is very active in a local theater group where he plays and designs/builds sets as well as other band projects. Chad plays in another band providing his outlet for volume and high-energy rock and roll. He has also performed with a variety of groups ranging from pit orchestras to German festhalle’s.

April, 2009. It's Spring, and Spring is a time of new beginnings. Sudden Impact's new beginning is Charlotte Ruppert. Charlotte graciously accepted our offer to become Sudden Impact's voice and we could not be happier. Charlotte comes to us with a lifetime of singing and theatrical experience, and, everyone in the band agrees, she shakes a mean tambourine to boot.

Charlotte, Rick, Greg, Chad & Charlie. . . Music plays an integral part in all of our lives. We share its passion with our kids, friends, and basically anybody willing to appreciate it. We hope you will allow us to share it with you. After all, we’re doing this. . . Because the Music Matters!
