Suddenly We Stopped Dreaming is the solo project of David Smith and is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. While heavily influenced by the iconic alternative/indie culture of the 90s, SWSD also incorporates elements of modern indie and dream pop.
SWSD began to take root from the workings of David's other band Antennas to Heaven which was an early experiment into the process of creating music and a love of post rock. SWSD sees David take a change of direction taking in alternative/indie influences like the Delgados, Mazzy Star, and Beach House.
