Bio

Sue Whitebrook and the Amateur Hour are a four piece band from Liverpool upon Merseysippi, England.

Initially formed by old habits sometime in late 2010 or, perhaps 2011, at the behest of Stevie "Moneymaker" Lawless and Liam "Not swigger" Jones, adding to their faction proved somewhat difficult when a series of X-factor style auditions were set up in order to find a competent bassist. The crippling financial cost of hiring the (Manchester presents) Liverpool Echo arena and 1000s of metal barriers (to control the unwashed masses of course) almost seemed wasteful when only one person turned up. Lucky for them it was Matt "Conteh" Chisholm, the best bassist in town.

Over the following months, the 3-piece set about honing their style (whilst working 2 jobs-a-piece to pay for the metal barriers). Their next task was to find a drummer... step forward Ben J-P Jones.

Their main influences are; Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Flying Burrito Brothers, Tramp Attack, The Stands, Loose Moose String Band.
