Bio

Donnie Daniels grew up in Ajax ON and has been writing songs since he taught himself to play at 13. He went to Exeter high-school in Ajax, and played around Canada practising his craft and working all kinds of jobs to pay the bills. Now settled in Oshawa ON, Donnie has decided he is ready to bring his sound to the rest of the country and hopefully the world.
The Sufferah Sound is exactly that. A sound, for those who suffer. The "Sufferahs" are those who have to live in suffering, in order for others not to. The Sound System is the voice for those people. Donnie is influenced by Blues, Jazz, Ska, Reggae, folk, rock and world music. Blending these influences, he creates a sound that is fresh, soulful and uniquely canadian.
Donnie will perform his songs solo or with his rhythm section, consisting of former RPO members J Dubs and Vaughn Lal. Donnie is open to other vocalists singing his songs, or having other bands cover his material. His Demo "Heavy Stone" was recorded at the Gentlemen's Den Recording Studio in Pickering ON by David "Brown-Sound" Baksh.
